DoorDash Credit Question

We don’t have a DoorDash account. It’s a personal preference and the DoorDash and Uber Eats drivers around here are terrible… blowing through stop signs, stopping their cars in the middle of the street to deliver, leaving car doors open on street side, etc.

The last 2 to-go orders we placed and picked up from our neighborhood Thai place now show up as DoorDash on my statement. Does this mean that they are DoorDash orders and I’m missing out on points/credits by not having an account? I get the 3x dining points but am I missing out on anything else? We get takeout from there about once a month.

DirecTV $50 Cash Back

I got my CSR June 1st. Whenever I get a new card I put the vast majority of my spend on it to get the SUB quickly. I updated my autopay for DirecTV to the newly acquired CSR… lo and behold, I got a $50 statement credit that I wasn’t expecting. I’m curious if other existing customer have gotten this as well because I thought it was only for new customers? We’ve had DirecTV for decades so it was a pleasant surprise. Also… if it sticks I’ll leave my CSR as my autopay method for the next billing cycle end because the offer states that it’s valid on the first two payments.

Earn $50 cash back on your first two payments at DIRECTV when you spend $100 or more. Limit of 2 statement credits (total of $100). Please note that this is for a subscription purchase.

Offer expires 7/28/2026. Offer valid for new customers only. To receive both statement credits both payments must occur before 7/28/2026. Offer valid on first two payments of $100 or more only.

Dining Gift Cards that don’t trigger the statement credit

I keep seeing that GC purchases for participating restaurants that use Toast as their POS successfully triggers the statement credit. Has anyone had any luck with restaurants that use other systems, like Square?

No CSR Approval

I’ve been checking on Pre-Approval for CSR and it never shows as an option. I got CSP a little over a year ago and am outside the 5/24 rule with a 830+ credit score. I don’t carry a balance on any of my other cards, my debt to income ratio is very small and credit usage is less than 8%.

Even with the “coupon book” that people criticize CSR for, I would have value with CSR that would offset the AF.

I do have 2 co-branded United Cards as well but I wouldn’t think that matters. I want to replace my CSP with the CSR and want the CSR SUB.

Anyone else in my same boat, but got approved? I don’t a hard hit on my credit check without some level of confidence I’ll get approved.

Anyone else have this “issue” but ended getting approved?

EDIT: After reading responses from this forum, I applied last and was instantly approved.
