Uneven front/back braking
Inspired by this post i realised i've been using my back break at least 70-80% of the time because that's what i was taught as a child.
Here is how my front and back tyres look like. How big is the difference, should i change my back tyre in the near future?
First 50km ever, what now?
Started cycling last year mostly to lose weight, now i'm riding longer distances. Yesterday i finally managed to break 50km, took a little less than 2.5h (+around 20min rest).
My ultimate goal for this spring/summer is a road trip, 80km in one direction, 1-2 days rest and then the same distance back home. I currently weight somewhere between 90-92kg.
I'm thinking I need to get to 85kg or less before the trip. My problem is that most of the time I was switching between 2 modes of cycling/living:
- more frequent, shorter rides + very clean living to lose weight or
- less frequent, longer rides + less attention to dieting
How to manage both weight loss and long distance prep? Is there somewhere a sweet spot or should I just suck it up and go on a diet to lose weight while also riding longer distances?
