Millionaires trying to buy Torrance election

Right wing groups and corporations are trying to buy Torrance campaigns. Instead of talking to the community, they are sending you junk mail hoping they can buy your vote. Don’t let them. Torrance is not for sale.

Cruel Smear Campaigns in Torrance Elections

There has been a personal smear campaign against Councilmember Sheikh, with false allegations being pushed by political opponents and even sitting councilmembers amplifying those claims on social media.

Thank you to Councilmembers Lewis, Gerson, and Kalani for standing up for your colleague and calling for a higher standard of ethics and conduct.

Jon Kaji trades the dignity of our seniors for the dividends of Billionaires

In addition to currently engaging in a disgusting smear campaign against another council member, we must remember who Jon Kaji is. Mail in ballots are arriving, and everyone deserves to know what is in the heart of the people running. In short, Jon Kaji accepted donations from AA Victory PAC that came directly from right wing wealthy property owners. One of those investors purchased a mobile home park and started raising lot rents nearly 30% over 2 years. The park’s residents were mainly seniors and those on fixed incomes. Even those who owned their homes and had lived there for years found themselves unable to afford the ground under their feet. It is a longer and more complicated story to be sure, but I find it deeply indicative of the character of Mr. Kaji.
