My sister’s BF inherited this from his dad when he recently passed

It’s a poster about 30”x30” (currently in a frame far too big for it)

An exchange with my sister that might make some of y’all laugh

A couple days ago my sister came home from work and said to me “I listened to 2112 (album) a few times at work today.”

“Did you like it?”

“Yeah, it was good.”

Sensing her tone, I said “Not your favorite though?”

She replied “I liked all the songs. It’s definitely a good album. It’s just… well, it’s no Power Windows, that’s for sure.”

It made me laugh, even though I completely agreed because Power Windows is my favorite album ever. But I feel like not a lot of Rush fans would say something like that. Maybe it’s an age thing. I’m 28 and she’s 22, and I’ve found that the younger Rush fans I talk to seem to hold the synth era in higher regard than some of the older fans I’ve talked to. But the great thing about Rush is that their entire output was so consistently great that I hear love for all of their eras from fans of all ages. We’re so lucky to be alive during a time where we can listen to this great band whenever we want. And we’re also so lucky that they always did their own thing and changed up their style so much and always did it earnestly and with integrity. A 40 year career isn’t quite as great if you’re always making the same music. But we get to hear them evolve and change from one album to the next and it’s always a new journey
