Bylaw officer came by today to tell us we can’t keep our tiny trailer on our own large driveway over the summer, all because a neighbour complained.

The kicker? It’s entirely complaint-driven. That trailer was apparently fine for years until one neighbour decided to pick up the phone. And if we don’t comply, we’re looking at a fine of up to $25K. For a trailer. On our own property.

What an ass-backwards law. Make it make sense.

Today I was cycling with my kids on the Nokiidaa trail at like 11am in the morning and there were at least 2 guys lighting up a crack pipe, one taking a dump in the river, and another passed out on the sidewalk. Wtf going on in this town?
