Sometimes, a short explosive mission is all you need in this game

Not every operation needs to be a massive campaign. Sometimes, all you need is a short, violent strike behind enemy lines — hit fast, destroy hard, take what matters, and disappear before the region even understands what happened.
Wildlands is awesome for both!

The level of immersion games should offer today- YouTube

With the latest advances in AI verbal tech, we are very close to having a completely autonomous radio command / operator, sending crucial mission info, heads up of stuff happening on the ground and unscripted on-the-fly mission orders and parameters.

It looks like open world shooters can make a strong resurgence with this kind of immersion, where you can use your own voice to issue squad commands and communicate with the game and its NPCs.

My latest IGNIS release shows a pre-edited concept of the level of immersion we should be seeing very soon in games. IMO, that's one of the most solid uses AI can have today, oriented for games.

Tactical 455 shots?

on my latest IGNIS release, I made a threat to the HVT:
"Run, and I'll shoot you in the ass". lol

There's a tactical reason for that:

"About the 'shooting in the ass' part (lol) @ 04:36

It was more than just a cheesy threat. It has tactical knowledge behind it too: The pelvic area is a strategic aiming point for a good number of reasons:

  1. You want the threat to stop immediately. The fractured bone is extremely painful and will cease any attack... etc"

... can you tell me the other reasons? (read the pinned comment for more info)

IMO, it's the fact that we cannot know what's behind the corner, the wall, etc, without exposing ourselves. Wildlands was clearly not intended for that kind of situation, but it still manages to deliver a very solid, and tense, experience in first person.

Full stealth in it is also interesting, because it won't show the enemy so much. You see the same ammount you can be seen, so staying hidden also means to hide the enemy from your view, except for that bush, that small gap, that distant dark corner.

All in all, in first person you get a very engaging sandbox to use all the tactical tricks you can have.

IGNIS latest release is an example.
