Moms please help! My friend is having a baby!!!

A very dear friend of mine is having a baby this year!!! She's about 3.5 months along, and Im low income but I really want to get her some stuff for HER. I have some cute little things on etsy I'll be getting for the baby but I want to focus on her. I really don't want to lose her friendship. I even am quitting drinking since she won't be able to do that for a while to say the least. I have heard so many stories of moms becoming isolated, or people only focusing on the baby and not mom. I really don't want to be that person. She means a lot to me. I want to make some little baskets for her.

My plan is to actually get some fabric baskets and a shelf that fits said baskets, so that way when she uses the stuff from each basket, she has a functional organization shelf for whatever she wants. That way she's not stuck with a bunch of baskets that just sit around in a corner or closet that can't really be used for anything else. The theme of each are going to be stuff like toiletries, cozy stuff for the hospital, postpartum care (leak proof stuff and what not, im clueless please help 🫪😓) anyways, that's the basic idea. Moms, what did you need when you first became moms? How can I be a good and present friend? This beautiful person helped me through one of the toughest times of my life and I just really want to be there for her. But also not too pushy. Im realistically actually super shy and bad at gifts...
