Agnes Singularity: What awaits her guinea pigs??

"

«This Horse has been consideres too dangerous to be a race Horse, even to be a stallion.

It has already injured 8 jockeys.

There's only one option, i'm sorry.»

Those are the first words I remember hearing, Horse? Stallion? Jockey? I don't understand any of those words... And I have the feeling I've heard them... from even before I was born, weird uh?

Oh, sorry if I'm boring you, but You know, i didn't had the opportunity to tell you this before.

the racing world is pretty aggressive, Running injuries have ended many careers, they could even have ended mine.

Luckily, the cure for the tendinitis that incapacitated my family tree for so long was one of the first things I achieved, but shhh...nobody knows I had It, i destroyed every trace of it's existente.

But since we're confessing secrets, I think it would be good if you opened up a little too, trainer. Could you tell me... where do so many of you come from? Many of you don't have real documents, family information, or even medical records of your birth. I've already looked for them. It's like you guys just appeared out of nowhere... Or maybe...

Oh, sorry! i forgot you can't talk when You look like this, but you definitly are adorable, Now come here, i have a new experiment and i need your help."

The trap of an antlion and the gravitational singularity of a black hole are similar in that if you get too close to the edge... or the event horizon... you can never escape, you will be pulled to the center... and you will know what is truly inside...

Agnes singularity

Never trust her.

"—Thinking back, Unfortunately, you've done a lot for me.

You did what was necessary for your career as a trainer and genuinely tried to accommodate what my little secret project needed; of course, the latter was what you accepted when you ""volutary""" offered to be my ""trainer"".

I wish I could say you were a great help; unfortunately, you couldn't do much, but I suppose the effort has value."

She's Always nice with everyone, like She was some kind of friendly carefree student.

"—Im Happy to be your trainer....

—You know, trainer? There's something very important I've always wanted to tell you.

—really?"

Everyone thinks that with enough timelines they "can fix her"... how come they don't understand? This isn't the Agnes they know.

"—You once told me that i was very important for You and all that... Well... I've felt something ever since... but more recently I haven't been able to hide it.

—Agnes... You...?

—What I want to tell you is that, with all my being... I despise you... I could even say that I HATE you."

She's was named as "Agnes Singularity", Any outside trainee has been forbidden from even attempting to train her for their own safety.

"—...But don't worry, I'll make something useful out of you."

What do a black hole and an antlion's trap have in common?

Raising a tachling: Baby steps

"It's been quite a while, and the little one has grown so much! At least she fits into the clothes sizes available in stores now, although, well, I'm not very good with fashion, so I'd appreciate any advice on what clothes to buy her.

Anyway, what I wanted to tell you is something that happened today. It was Tachyon's turn to look after Tachyling today, but in the afternoon I received a call from Tachyon saying there was something important She wanted to tell me I went as quickly as I could, worried that something had happened, and She greeted me with this:

"—You may have earned her first coherent vocalizations, Guinea Pig, but I'm the one taking her first steps!

Behold!..... come on... walk!....!!!! No, wait, I didn't mean...... I love you too, little one"

In front of me she always pretends that she only sees little Tachling as an experiment, as if I haven't noticed how much she spoils her when I'm not around."

That's right, I'm not dead. Did you miss me?

No? Oh well.

Now being serious, any recommendations for clothing ideas for little Tachling before she gets any older?

[OC] Dionaeopsis pseudokousa. Bau und Leben der Rhinogradentia

Native to the Albrecht Archipelago and closely related to the rhinogradentia of the genera Orchidiopsis and Liliopsis, Dionaeopsis is one of the few known carnivorous rhinograde species. Being 3-4 times larger than the smaller Orchidiopsis, they are slow-moving animals that can remain in the same position for long periods. They can feed on native wasps, which they attract with the scent of fruit and nectar. However, their most valuable food source is the mammal known as the "golden-tailed ferret" (a misnomer, as they are not related to ferrets, which are mammals that consume fruit, pollen, and nectar). They hold these mammals with their powerful forelimbs and bite their prey's neck.

I hope you find the concept interesting; there's still more information.

Failed timelines: Always the same place.

"If I fail, I can always try again, right?

There's always a price, and my price is that I remember every attempt.

Every time I see your face, I remember every time I failed you.

How many times didn't I do enough?

How many times did I make you train when the risk of failure was too high?

How many times did I fail to make you win the Triple Crown?

I've seen you injured many times. I saw how your retirement slowly withered you away. I saw how you stopped getting out of bed.

Hundreds of times I saw your lab fill with dust because after some point, not even that motivated you.

Why...?

WHY DO I KEEP TRYING?

I have you sitting in front of me, in yet another attempt. The next race could be the one that forces you to retire again!

I can see my past attempts waiting for you to join them.

....

I like this place... it was here the first time I proposed to you.

I don't always marry you. You don't always fall in love with me.

Even in some I barely manage to please you.

But sooner or later, with each attempt, I invite you here.

You always order the same thing.

We chat a little.

At some point, you smile at me, hold my hand, and once you even kissed me.

You always thank me for staying by your side, and it's one of the times you call me "trainer" instead of "guinea pig."

...I guess that's why I keep trying.

—Uh... trainer? You've been looking at me for a while. Did you want to tell me something?

—..no... It's nothing....Do you like what you ordered?

—Because of the ingredients, it sometimes leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste, but overall it's very sweet. I don't like bitter things, but I guess sometimes it's worth it... would you like to try it?

—I'd like to.

This time... you smiled at me."

The idea for the drawing looked better in my head.

Raising a tachling: A bit worried...

"So... I've been a little worried about the tachling lately. She's grown quite a bit lately, she doesn't fit in my hand anymore and I had to get her new clothes. Tachyon told me she has the mental capacity of a 2-year-old, which is amazing since she's only about 2 months old chronologically and like 8 months old physically. But i'm worried because despite that, she doesn't talk, just making baby noises. Well, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit. She's healthy and still growing. I just want to know if she's okay. Any advice?

....

Oh wait, I think she wants to say something!... Great, it seems her first word will be guinea pig,

.....

!!!"

I'm speechless. I also thought her first word would be guinea pig.

Think Guinea Pig! THINK!

"—Why did you make me do this?

You're fighting so you can ruin everything we've fought for! Think, guinea pig! Think! So what if I need painkillers to handle every race? The results of my research and our victories will outlast our fragile, insignificant selves.

Are you going to quit and force me to retire even though that won't change the fact that my health will inevitably crumble to dust and go away!?

If you do that Everyone and everything we got will be gone!

...

What will you have after you quit being a trainer?

—You, Tachy. I'd still have you.

—..."

The trainer needed a month in the hospital, not because he was beaten up, but because he slipped on a puddle on their way back to the academy.

Failed timelines: "Do tachyons ever stop?"

"Have you ever wondered if Umas age? Everyone seems to know, but I didn't until I got here. Her explanations always helped me, and this time was no exception.

«Umas go through a growth spurt during their youth, and although our life expectancy isn't very different from that of ordinary Homo sapiens, our aging is. We don't usually show the wear and tear very noticeably—a few gray hairs, wrinkles. We could be 90 years old and look 50, until the internal wear and tear required to maintain our physical capabilities it's too much for our bodies»

But have you ever wondered what she would look like when she gets old? Many of you probably already know the answer, but I didn't. I spent many timelines by her side, and in none of them did I even come close. I could never prevent her injury and subsequent premature retirement. At best, I only delayed it by a couple of years, but it always happened. I thought of other ways, other paths, other possibilities.

After your retirement, you always faded away little by little, and no matter what I did or how hard I tried to cheer you up, it always ended with me waking up one day to find you were no longer with us.

Always the same... broken heart syndrome.

But in that timeline, I tried something different.

When I saw you again after so many years, it was the first time in so many timelines that I saw you aged, even though your face had barely changed.

And even though you hadn't seen me in so many years... you recognized me.

«Trainer? I didn't think I'd see you again.»

You told me what had become of you, although I already knew.

You suffered the leg injury, you retired for a short time, you returned to racing... and then your legs finally gave out and you couldn't continue anymore.

It took you years, many years.

«I got married»

In how many timelines had we gotten married?

You had a family, and this was the first timeline in which I heard you saying this:

«It took me a long time. I had to use every piece of data I'd gathered throughout my career, combine it with the work of those I could call colleagues or even friends. It took so long... but I discovered the cure for tendonitis.»

You always "left" before achieving it. It was always someone else who, building on your research, discovered the cure, and you only received posthumous thanks. But this was the first time you lived to see it with your own eyes.

Your age, and the damage to your legs, were enough that even with the cure, you would never be able to run again. But you had ensured that your story would never be repeated.

I chatted with you for a bit. Even though I already knew everything you were going to tell me, I simply listened. You seemed so calm, so at peace as you told me.

«It was good to see you again, my dear guinea pig.»

But the truth is, you were still deeply saddened.

That was the last time we spoke. A couple of weeks later, It happened... Broken heart syndrome.

It hurt me to my core, but you know what? It also gave me hope, knowing that if I changed things just a little more, I could give you your happy ending.

What did I do? How did I get this result? How did I make what happened in that timeline happen?

By leaving. I left after the first 3 years of your career

I should never have been here. I only forced my way into this world to see if I could change something,be part of a story, but the truth is, someone else was supposed to be your trainer.

I don't know what that last thing is that I need to change to give you your happy ending."

Wow, that was tough for me, even though it's pretty mild.

I don't usually do this but... u/SUPERIORAgnesGooner what did you think?

Thanks for reading EVERYONE.

Crazy Agnes

"Greetings, Guinea pig!

The name's Crazy Agnes.

But you can just call me Crazy Agnes.

Listen, I've got a surprise for you.

But first, I'll need you to clear your office.

Why create a creature that goes against the laws of God, man, and Cygames?

Because I'm CRAAAZY!!!!!!"

The next drawing will be more serious than usual, not too much, but it will be, so I needed to purge the silliness from my being in order to do it. I like PVZ.

u/jurassicbirddog — 15 days ago

"i am so lonely.

All the other Umas are scared of me,

No one talks to me,

No one wants to be my Guinea pig they think I'm unstable.

They send me from racetrack to racetrack committing massacres in their name,

And as i get better a It, they fear me more and more.

I'm a victim of my own speed.

Tachyon... I don't even get a real name, just a maximun speed.

With my research I am capable of so much more and no one sees it.

Some days I'm so scared of being alone when my legs finally give up that i could cry but i don't, i never do.

Because what would be the point?

Not a single uma in the entire tracen academy would care

....

Take It to your new Guinea Pig Brain"

-Agnes Tachyonquest.

A meme u/kramsibbush made gave me the idea

I've hidden a couple of details or references in the design, although they're not very well hidden so you'll probably notice them.

Two drawings in one day? Due to a couple of problems, I had to repost it. Stand ready for her arrival, guinea pigs!

"Although I take care of the Tachling most of the time, I don't allow Tachyon to shirk her responsibilities as the little one's creator and I make sure she spends quality time ~~mother and daughter~~ creator and creation. Most of the time they have together she seems to spent it studying the Tachling's characteristics, although curiously she can't seem to stop giving her baby carrots. She says it's «to measure its endorphins, dopamine, and serotonin» but it seems she just wants to pamper the little one. The little Tachling also seems to be getting more vocal lately; she seems to be trying... to sing? I think Tachyon sings to her when I'm not looking."

So cute.

u/jurassicbirddog — 16 days ago

I've gone through long periods of months without drawing. I've always enjoyed creating stories, but I'd never gotten around to writing them down. I'd been going through a rough patch, and it was this Agnes Tachyon subreddit (who is one of my favorite characters from Umamusume) that finally inspired me to start writing my own stories. Seeing so many people writing their stories here without fear, out of love for the Low Cortisol Horsey (Tach-nology), encouraged me to try it, and that motivated me to draw again (even though I'm not that good at it). I wanted to thank everyone for that with this drawing.

Regarding the drawing, there's no context, no backstory. Just stay here for a second and let her enjoy holding your hand.

Thank you all.

P.S.: Her head should be slightly tilted, but I think it ends up looking more like a drawing mistake.

"—Guinea pig! I didn't expect to see you here.

—Hm? Oh, hi Tachyon. Air Groove asked me to meet her here. She just left.

—Hmm? And why?

—Quick question, How did you escape from the dorm last night?

—That... well. Actually, it was quite simple."

Past night, Moments before Part 1

"Tachyon, lying in her bed, checks her phone.

—3 AM, and the trainer is still showing signs of activity. It's the perfect time to confront him.

She turns to make sure Digital is still asleep. Luckily, it seems she fell asleep mid-video; the phone's noise should mask her own.

—Maybe it would be better to wear something simpler, but the race outfit will give me the impact I need... I'm a little worried that he's been overexerting himself so much lately.

—Tachyon?

—!?!?

Digital's uma-sense alerted her to Tachyons imminent escape (and maybe Tachyon talking to herself didn't help).

—Digital?

—Did something happen? Where are you going?

Tachyon thought, discarding and filtering all possible responses as quickly as possible she could...EUREKA!

She approached her and whispered something in her ear.

—...

—But you're a good girl and you won't say anything, right Digi?

—...

—Digital?

—...... Gwhaaah! Hyugyaaa! Nnddwaaaiieeaaii!!!—Whether it was because of what Tachyon said or simply the whisper, Digital couldn't resist, silently imploding (or in other words, fainting).

—Perfect, now I'll have to be careful because of Digital's scream.

Tachyon manages goes out into the hallway. walks briskly, It's not a good idea to rush, but she doesn't have many options.

but then she hears footsteps approaching.

—Stop right there, suspicious person!....Tachyon?

—Oh, hi Bakushin, what are you doing here?

—I heard a suspicious noise and when I saw you here I thought someone had broken into the dorms.

—I wasn't expecting nothing less from a class representative. Except for the class representative, that's why I came out, but it seems like there's no one here.

—Well, It must have been a false alarm, *yawn* if everything's alright I'd better go back to my room—WAIT A MINUTE!

—Shhh, don't shout, you'll wake everyone up.

—Sorry—She clears her throat—wait a minute! Why are you wearing your race outfit?!

—Maybe you're dreaming and I'm not here at all.

—You think I'd fall for that? You're trying to sneak out after the curfew.

-Well, it worked last time.

-Now go back to your room!

—...—Tachyon runs off, with Bakushin hot on her heels.

—Stop right now!

Tachyon keeps running, just a little further, but she can't use her top speed in such a confined space without risking a collision or making noise, which means Bakushin manages to catch up and grab her arm.

—Huff...Puff... I caught you, now you're coming with me and... I'll have to take you to Ritto because I don't know what to do now.

But before she could even move, someone grabbed the class representative from behind. The surprise made Bakushin let go of Tachyon.

—W-Digital?!? What are you doing?!?!"

—Forgive me, Bakushin, I can't let you interfere with her story! Run, Tachyon! Get out of here!

Tachyon didn't waste a second and started running again.

Escape successful."

Back to the present.

"—And that's how I escaped. When I talked to digital today, she told me that after a little... well, almost an hour of silent struggle, they both ended up collapsing from exhaustion, and that she was then able to convince Bakushin that she had dreamed the whole thing. And now I've gone out to get Digitan something she saw in a shop as a favor for helping me yesterday.

—Well, that escape turns out to be the same reason Air Groove asked me to come.

—oh...

—Since i wasn't there today, the trainees decided to train together a bit, and coincidentally, Bakushin ended up telling Air Groove about that weird dream she had. Obviously, Air realized, and called me here to question me about whether I had anything to do with it. Luckily, I managed to convince her that everything was fine, but I think she'll question you too, so... you'd better be prepared.

—Thanks for letting me know, I'll handle It myself.

—...

—...

—And...what did you whisper to Digital?

—...umm... Nothing important.

Meanwhile, in the tracen academy, digital seems to be writing; it appears to be already on the 20th page."

That's right. I'm back! Just wanted to share this because I thought it was funny. If you're wondering who won, Digital won by a hair.

Thanks for reading.

"Just as she said, she left before I woke up. She also left a note before leaving

«For my Guinea Pig.

I already contacted Secretary Tazuna using your phone to say you'd be absent today due to health issues. Enjoy your day off.

Signed: Agnes Tachyon

P.S.: Since you won't be coming to work today, I took the liberty of taking my daily rations directly from your kitchen.»

I had to check, and indeed, she did both (raided the kitchen and contacted Tazuna).

A couple of days have passed since then.

Every so often, I have my trainees compete in practice races. It helps me see who's falling behind, their strengths and weaknesses. Tachyon doesn't always participate in the practice races so she can gather information from the outside... and well... also to avoid the risk of injury.

She hasn't shown up yet, and the race is about to start, so I guess she won't be participating today. I'll go see her after the race.

—Okay, everyone ready? It's time to head to the starting gate.

—Aren't you forgetting someone?

—Tachyon? I thought you weren't coming.

—Guinea pig, Did you think I'd miss an opportunity to gather data?

—Good point

—I'm in an unusually good mood and in very good condition, If I had to guess today's result, I'd say I'll come in first place, and I'm excited to find out.

—I like it when you talk like that.

—Well, our time is precious, what are we waiting for? And you'd better have slept well; I want you wide awake to see the results.

—I'll be. EVERYONE READY?!?!

—Yes!— they said in unison.

The race began; normally the position of each uma varies greatly, Oguri Cap or Goldship almost always taking the victory.

But in this race, during the last 400 meters, Tachyon managed to pull ahead, beating Goldship by a nose.

After the race, it's not unusual for the runners to take a moment to chat.

I was going to congratulate her on winning, but it seems the others arrived first."

In fact, it happened to me once; an Agnes Tachyon beat the rest of the Umas on the racetrack.

Now, i wanted to sincerely thank everyone who has joined me on this journey through this story, born from a sleepless night. This is the first time I've drawn so many characters at once. There are still a couple more things related to this (besides the Tackling thing) i'm going to draw, but the story itself has now come to an end.

Thank you for reading, and thank you for being here.

Are you still awake?

u/jurassicbirddog — 21 days ago

"Although you weren't naive, for reasons unknown to me, it didn't take you long to trust me. to the point where if I told you something was safe, you believed me.

You drank the tea I made for you. I can't deny that for a moment I considered pouring some medicine into your cup, but emotions are strange, you know? I felt that for this time it would be good not to do it

—Wow, it really is as sweet as I like it.

—We have certain similar tastes, Guinea Pig.

—I wanted to ask you, uh... is what you said about not leaving until you were sure I'd slept at least eight hours still on the table, or...

—That hasn't changed. You can't get rid of me.

—Well, but... how or where would you sleep then?

—I'll come up with something.

—Um... well, you could sleep on the sofa, or I could go to the sofa and you could sleep in the room.

—Neither would be satisfactory since I need to be in the same room as you to keep an eye on you.

(And maybe it would be a good opportunity to gather information.)

—...Say what?

—Although it can be easily solved if you have a futon, of course, you'd be the one sleeping on it.

—*sigh* I guess I have no choice.

While you were looking for the futon, I had to improvise pajamas using the pantyhose and sweater from my racing outfit.

—There, it took me a while because I couldn't remember where I put it. I didn't think I'd use it again.

—Alright, then hurry up and start sleeping.

—You get to sleep in the bed and i have to sleep on the floor. Sometimes I wonder if i spoiled you too much

—Nonsense.

It didn't take you long to fall asleep, which isn't surprising given how exhausted you were.

—Guinea pig, are you awake?" I whispered, receiving no response.

In about 40 minutes, you were already in a deep sleep.

—12 breaths per minute. Good.

I couldn't get the information I wanted from the bed, so I moved closer.

—Let's see... let's start with your pulse.

—...

Emotions are strange, you know? They make you act in a peculiar way, even ignoring the most efficient path and the most logical ideas. It could be a place your mind associates with a stimulus, a period of time that, whether unpleasant or positive, can reproduce its effect even if the situation hasn't been repeated... or a person...who, by always taking care of you, generates a positive emotion in you.The best option would have been for me to simply crouch down near you to take your pulse, but for some reason, I preferred to lie down next to you.

I'm no stranger to physical contact; checking other people's muscle structure, giving injections, taking measurements—it's all part of my daily routine. It's not even the first time I've taken your wrist to check your pulse, but I suppose the whole situation made it feel different this time. It even took me a moment to realize I was smiling. This was... interesting. I slept next to you, even though there was a risk you might wake up before me, but it was minimal, so I guess it was worth it."

So... I tried to draw something cute (other than the Tatchling), but I'm not used to it, so it probably didn't turn out as well as I'd hopedI'm not used to drawing hands either... or busts.)

Thanks for reading.

"Remember this little one? She's grown a little since last time.

Tachyon had to give me a list of her nutritional requirements, so I have to combine 15 different types of food, including 7 types of baby food, and turn them into a puree because the tachling doesn't even have teeth yet. Her metabolism is so fast that she has to eat every hour, and I'm the one who has to change her diapers, and will refuse to eat unless it is at least slightly sweet.

You know? This it's the first time she's opened her eyes... I think I'm the first thing she's ever seen...

She cries, throws tantrums, is a picky eater, and doesn't let me sleep, and yet I feel like I never want anything bad to happen to her... Is this what it feels like to be a dad?"

Tachlings are difficult to draw and raise, huh?

This is based on how baby birds are fed when hand-raised, primarily parrots.
