First Garmin Watch

Hi,

I am looking to have my first Garmin watch, in fact, my first smartwatch.

I workout twice a week (strength training) and run twice a week as well (5k). Running is more of a hobby, so I am not aiming for any marathon in the future, but I do run regularly and very interested in having an accompanying accessory. (Not a fan of keeping phone with me while running anymore)

My main aim in having a smartwatch is to have something specific for running metrics, sleep, heart rate, etc. Nothing extravagant. I am also not aiming to regularly switch the smartwatch to an upgraded version. So, I need something solid (with good sensors, as I will need the basic functions to work properly for years) that can last without frequent updates. Aesthetics is also a factor.

Here's a list of watches I have shortlisted based on this:

Forerunner (165, 265)

Instinct (2 Solar, 2X Solar)

Venu 3

I am leaning heavily toward the 2X Solar because of its looks. I don't really care about AMOLED, but that might be because I've never owned one. If you have had both AMOLED and MIP, please give some input on what I might be missing. Also, I have a Casio G-Shock, so I really dig its rugged look.

I am asking for suggestions here because the compare function on the website doesn't work, I guess. All the functions are shown for all the watches, and I don't understand if there's any hardware or software difference.

PS: I'm also interested in a second-hand one if you have a spare. You can DM me regarding this. (Location: New Delhi, India)
