I'm 34F and I've realized I'm much better at getting to know people when we skip the usual interview questions. I don't really care what your favorite color is or what you do for work five minutes after meeting you 😂 Tell me something you could talk about for hours, something ridiculous that happened to you this week, a thought that's been stuck in your head, or just whatever you actually feel like talking about tonight. I'm an introvert, but once I'm comfortable I can talk about almost anything. If you're also tired of conversations dying after three messages, just say hi and give me something to work with 😄

I still remember conversations that started because someone argued with me about pizza, sent me a random fact about octopuses, or showed me a dog they met on a walk. Funny how those are the ones you end up remembering years later. I'm not the loudest person when I first meet someone, but once I'm comfortable I can jump from one completely random topic to another for hours. I guess I just miss those conversations where nobody is trying to impress anyone and time somehow disappears.
