Scared of tap water after moving to city.
Hi there, let me preface this by saying that I struggle with OCD and have a lot of anxiety surrounding food and drink, but especially drinking water. I recently moved to the middle of a large city and according to a couple databases, there are lots of contaminants, many over 100-200x the health guidelines. I have attached the image from EWG, but the tap water data website also showed arsenic (0.00285PPM).
As I live in an apartment, I would like to get an RO tap water system, but I am having trouble picking one. It seems that every time I think I’ve made a decision I find bad things about it.
I had been looking at the Waterdrop M6SL system, but I noticed it’s only NSF 58 certified and none of their counter top models are NSF 53 certified. I had also been looking at aquatru but didn’t love how they presented the certifications. I have scoured the Reddit for previous posts on this topic but still feel lost and scared.
I would appreciate any brand input! There are only two of us in the household, room temp is fine, and remineralization is a plus but not necessary.
