hey everyone, i am not asking about compensation, refunds, or reimbursement. just wanted to see if anyone has gone through something similar and how it turned out. im flying to the philippines this december and i booked my tickets through cheapoair. Date of departure: December 6, 2026 Calgary (YYC) → Vancouver (YVR) → Taipei (TPE) → Manila (MNL) | Airline: EVA Air through cheapoair back in feb cus i wanted to get everything sorted early and not have to stress about it later. at the end of may, i received an email from cheapoair saying that my return flight: Manila (MNL) → Taipei (TPE) → San Francisco (SFO) → Calgary (YYC) | Date of return: January 11, 2027 was cancelled and they sent me a proposed itinerary, i accepted it right away since the changes were minimal. the only difference was that i'd be returning to canada a day earlier which i was okay with
since then, i was told by cheap Oair that the airline has been making several schedule changes and the confirmation process has been taking much longer than expected. for almost two months now, ive been calling regularly for updates cus my itinerary still hasn't been finalized. every time i call, i was told the airline is making more schedule changes to my departure flight and that they're just waiting for confirmation before they can issue my updated itinerary. i understand that schedule changes happen but after hearing the same thing week after week, it honestly feels like im waiting indefinitely. i know my trip isn't until december but having to wait almost two months with no clear confirmation is frustrating when the whole reason i booked this early was so i wouldnt have to deal with last minute uncertainty
has anyone else been through something like this? if so: how long did it take before everything was finally confirmed? did everything work out in the end or?
i understand that booking direcrly with the airline is usually recommended but unfortunately not everyone has the means to spend significantly more on flights. hoping to hear from people who have experienced something similar and can share what happened. any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated!! thank you!

how long did it take before everything was finally confirmed? did everything work out in the end or did you have to keep pushing for a resolution?
and before anyone says it; yes i know booking directly with the airline is ideal. unfortunately, not everyone has the means to spend thousands more and for many of us, booking through a third party is simply the more affordable option. any advice, personal experiences or insight would be greatly appreciated. thank you!!
