Hunting Israelis — Tourists, journalists, a debate guest, a salon client, a grandmother at Shabbat — none were soldiers, all were hunted for one reason: they were Jewish or Israeli

Jerusalem, Washington hit back on UN claims of rampant 'settler violence'

The briefing was purportedly to condemn the alleged rise of violence by Jewish residents in the region, which the United Nations refers to as settlers.

“This May, there were 348 Palestinian terrorist attacks in Judea and Samaria. Eight pipe bomb attacks, 282 stone-throwing incidents, 32 fire bomb attacks, 24 arson incidents and two serious car ramming attacks,” said Danny Danon, Israel’s U.N. ambassador, noting that the high figure was higher than even the 325 recorded attacks in April. Over 400 more attacks were stopped by Israeli security forces preemptively, Danon said.

“How many of you have condemned these terrorist attacks against Jews? None of these numbers were reported by the briefers, and none of these attacks were mentioned by any of you,” he continued. “This is the bias we are confronting today.”

Meanwhile, Danon said Israel is cracking down on attacks by Jews against Palestinians, with 354 investigations opened, 20 indictments filed and 35 residents arrested through the first quarter of this year.

“This has led to a decrease in extremist violence,” said Danon. “That is why calling it ‘settler violence’ is a provocation. It denies our connection to the land of Israel. It distracts from constant terrorist attacks against Israelis and it collectively labels entire innocent communities for the crimes of the marginal extremist minority.

Special Report: UN data counts Palestinian terror as ‘settler violence’

The database uses a broader definition than the phrase “settler violence” may suggest. OCHA defines settler-related violence as incidents involving violence, intimidation or property damage carried out by “settlers,” or against “settlers,” as well as incidents involving other Israeli civilians in Judea and Samaria. A “settler” attacking a Palestinian, a Palestinian attacking a “settler,” or an incident involving Israeli civilians where responsibility has not been conclusively established may all appear within the same broader category.

OCHA has stated that it does not always independently confirm every detail before publication. In some cases, involvement by “settlers” may be based on available information about circumstances rather than a police finding, court determination or identification of a specific individual. This methodology makes the figures difficult to interpret.

Jewish Democrats in Michigan weigh crossing party lines after El-Sayed's Senate primary win

Abdul El-Sayed’s narrow victory over Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI) in Michigan’s bruising Democratic Senate primary on Tuesday is forcing many Jewish leaders in the state to confront an uncomfortable decision as they now look ahead to the general election in November.

Several Jewish Democrats in the battleground state are now indicating that they will break with a party they have long called home and instead vote for the Republican nominee, Mike Rogers, in the November election, citing their continued alarm over El-Sayed’s hostile rhetoric toward Israel as well as remarks they have interpreted as indifferent to rising antisemitism, among other concerns.

“I can’t vote for El-Sayed,” Michael Horowitz, a Jewish community leader and Detroit businessman who supported Stevens, a pro-Israel moderate, told Jewish Insider. “So many things I find despicable about him, not the least of which is his close association with Hasan Piker,” the antisemitic Twitch streamer, who Horowitz said “demeans America, demeans Jews and demeans all but the most radical among us.”

Horowitz confirmed he was now “leaning strongly to Rogers,” a former congressman who narrowly lost in his bid for Senate last cycle. “And I have heard from many in the Jewish community who say they will be supporting Rogers,” he said on Wednesday.

Hannan Lis, a Democratic fundraiser and Jewish leader who splits his time between Michigan and Israel, was among those who had told JI before the primary that he would vote for Rogers in the general election if El-Sayed won the nomination, noting he knows “many” Jewish Democrats who plan to do the same.

His reservations about Republicans preserving their Senate majority by picking up the Michigan seat held by retiring Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI), he clarified, were superseded by his objections to El-Sayed’s stances on Israel and responses to antisemitism. “El-Sayed is no Democrat,” he claimed.

Dennis Bernard, a Jewish leader in Michigan who backed both Rogers and Stevens in their respective primaries, said that the “word is out on a few Rogers fundraisers targeting historical Jewish Dems,” efforts that he described as “co-led” with Jewish Democratic donors.

“Candidly,” he added, “the only area that may not jump on Rogers is the highly progressive Ann Arbor community,” which he called “very small.”
Bernard, national chair of government relations at the Jewish Federations of North America, told JI that it would likely take a few more days for such events to materialize as donors now “settle down and organize” in the wake of the primary. “Everyone is jumping in,” he said.

One Democratic fundraiser in Michigan, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to address a sensitive subject, said he was “absolutely certain” that “several large Jewish Dem donors” will be supporting Rogers.

“I would guarantee there will be fundraisers for him hosted by high-profile Jewish Dems,” he told JI.

Secret bot army boosting Mamdani on X may have just been traced back to his City Hall

Dozens of suspected bot accounts on X/Twitter are amplifying content from New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and his circle, and reportedly can be traced to New York City Hall IP infrastructure, the World Zionist Organization told The Jerusalem Post exclusively.

As part of its activities against the waves of antisemitism online, WZO’s dedicated Department for Combating Antisemitism was presented with data and findings collected by cyber experts specializing in the field.

The information included an analysis of IP addresses and mapping of activity patterns and distribution networks of suspected bot accounts.

I Cannot Support a Party Electing Antisemites

For me, this has been a long time coming. I’m a registered Democrat and have been since I was 18, when I was initially registered as an “Independent” for no real reason besides that I didn’t want to “commit” to a party that early. Now I’m a lot older and a lot wiser, and for years I’ve been a registered Democrat. I’ve never once found myself voting for a Republican, frankly, because of my views on the country, on policies, and on what would be good for everyone I knew (and those I didn’t know).

I watched as Democrats elevated the “Squad” with alarm. But I wanted to believe they were an outlier that would only be relevant in deep-blue areas, that they’d never rise to higher office, and that they’d eventually be pushed out. I was glad when Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman were pushed out of their seats by the types of Democrats I’d want in office.

But now, the unhealthy focus on “AIPAC” as a boogeyman for everything, the obsession with Israel, and the way people have completely seemingly lost their minds is worse than before.

The rise of Mamdani was near the last straw for me. A man whose wife praised October 7, who refused to condemn chants to “globalize the Intifada”, meaning a refusal to condemn chants to murder Jews…to murder me. That was beyond anything I’d signed up for when I registered as a Democrat. Sure, it’s just a city. But now DSA candidates are winning primaries in other deep blue districts too. And that was worrisome.

But that’s not what has done it for me. What’s done it for me is that now, in Michigan, a battleground state, the Democrats are poised to nominate another antisemite as their nominee, this time for the Senate, i.e. a statewide election for federal office. A man who had trouble condemning an attack on a synagogue, and who excused it by saying “hurt people hurt people”. A man with a long history of absurd policies, and who even Jonathan Chait at the Atlantic (no strong friend of Israel) has pointed out is obsessed with AIPAC (i.e. a group of American Jews). So much so that any response, any issue, always comes back to…that same group of American Jews.

I can’t vote for a party that elects people who are okay with killing me. I can’t support a party that elects people who are okay with killing me. I’m no longer a Democrat at heart, not really. I’m only willing to support a Democrat who stands up to the antisemite army, and nothing more.

That’s not to say, by the way, that I’m a Republican either. I can’t support a party electing antisemites, and that goes both ways, especially considering the fact that JD Vance is the Vice President. But I’m done being a Democrat. I just can’t bring myself to say that I am one anymore. And if anyone ever asks, I plan to say, very simply, that I cannot support a party electing people who are okay with me being murdered.

That’s that. I don’t know if others feel the same way, but if you do, know that you’re not alone.

Extremist content creators spread conspiracy theories blaming Israel for Spain's migration crisis

The conspiracy theories have even reached Spain’s government (let alone Morocco’s).

From another article on the subject:

“Some cited a post by Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon, who wrote on X that Spain, "Spain, which never misses an opportunity to lecture Israel, has declared a state of emergency in Ceuta following the crisis over its immigration policy."

"Maybe before it continues lecturing us, it's time it explained to the world why it still maintains colonial enclaves in Africa," Danon added.

Spanish Transport Minister Óscar Puente, one of the most combative voices in the Sánchez government on social media, shared Danon's post and added: "Well, things are starting to become quite clear."

Trump places new condition on signed Saudi nuclear deal, says country must join Abraham Accords

President Donald Trump has placed a new condition on a nuclear agreementwith Saudi Arabia a day after formally approving it, saying the country now must join the Abraham Accords.

Trump wrote in a post on social media Thursday that the deal, which has already been signed, “will be approved,” but added, that it “is totally subject to Saudi Arabia joining the very respected and successful Abraham Accords.”

The president also emphasized in the post that there would be “no enrichment” even though the agreement could lead to the country enriching its own fuel for civilian reactors.

Ro Khanna Lied

As numerous sources have now reported, Ro Khanna’s claim that he was detained by “settlers” while touring the West Bank is false. The dishonest charlatan who endorsed the Nazi tattoo rapist Graham Platner has, unsurprisingly, lied again.

https://x.com/aghamilton29/status/2076054309142208603

“@RoKhanna had his Palestinian guides take him into a restricted area that is closed off to civilians without requesting access or coordinating with anyone.

Local security (which Khanna intentionally misrepresents as random settlers) then stopped them. IDF arrived and spent time evaluating the situation. Then Israeli police showed up, determined what had happened, and let them go on their way.”

https://x.com/emilykschrader/status/2076031034513072490

“His tour was halted on the bus because they entered a closed military zone (CMZ) which is prohibited (due to safety) to civilians. Police were called in to discuss the problem with the tour organizer who had repeatedly attempted to enter the CMZ in the past as well. The bus has to wait until the arrival of the officers to the scene, which is what caused the delay. It was not a "detainment" and no one was arrested. Police stated they have already reviewed the body cam footage of police at the scene confirming this account. The tour participants were also briefed and then continued on their way.”
