Date format on photo, application from UK

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have experience with having their Canadian passport photos done whilst living in the UK? The photo studio put the date as today's date but in UK format: 03/10/2026 and I'm worried that this may cause ambiguity when processed by passport Canada or is it processed at Canada House in London so they wont think twice about it?

Talk me out of booking a trip to Amsterdam for next weekend

Would be my sixth trip to the Netherlands in 18 months, £100 return from Edinburgh and £300 for three nights hotel with my last six days of annual leave until December, wish I never saw this offer 🙈

Just want to park myself in a coffeeshop and watch the world go by 🥹

Edit: Too late, I did it 😂

[Request] Scotland to Netherlands

Good morning everyone.

I normally visit the Netherlands around this time of year just when all the Sinterklaas stuff comes out but this year I visited in summer and missed all the seasonal snacks.

I'd be happy to do an exchange with someone who wants to try some snacks from the UK as I see that there's loads of new Kruidnoten flavours and other snacks that I'm dying to try 🥹

Thanks!

Can't change models anymore?

Currently using the Android app and have GPT Plus, I noticed a few days ago the option to change models has been removed and replaced with an option to change the level of effort only between low, medium and high?

Does anyone know how to change between 5.6, 5.5 etc? Or can I only do that through the website now?

Curaleaf dispatch times

Anyone else with Curaleaf waiting for absolute ages for their order? Placed mine over a week ago and still nothing 😭

Glad I've got three spare vapes to keep me going until my flower arrives.

Curaleaf vape cartridge limit?

Hi everyone,

Today I tried to substitute my Aurora Sourdough cart which has been OOS for ages for the balanced THC/CBD cart that they have and was knocked back as I'm apparently only allowed one cart at a time. Has anyone experienced this? I do have another active cart prescription but it's a pure THC one rather than balanced.

They've been out of stock of balanced flower for ages so I figured this would kill two birds with one stone and I pushed back as my clinician purposely left the prescription active so I could get a second cartridge when stock became available so I'm a bit confused 😂

A quick trip to Paris (end of May 2026)

So I visited Paris for the first time last week, a solo trip for my birthday. It was a quick one, mainly due to budget constraints but I also only live an hour away by plane so it's not like I can't come back. Here's a breakdown of what I did:

- I stayed at the Hotel Le Mareuil on the 31st of May, 2026 to 2nd of June, 2026 in a Superior Double room including breakfast for €561.10. It was a great hotel location wise, about a two minute walk from Oberkampf station, 24 hour sparkling and still water machine + coffee machine.

- Flew easyJet into CDG from EDI, flew back from AMS on 4th of June, 2026.

Day 1:

-Dropped my bag and walked to Notre Dame, didn't book in advance, waited about 15 minutes in a queue to get in.

- Had a croissant and a coffee from La Tradition de l'Isle (croissant was shit)

- Walked back to my hotel as the room was ready

- Dinner at Bouillon Republique, had onion soup and beef bourgingon, meal was great, huge portions and excellent prices.

- Took the metro to Trocadero, as I had a 9pm booking for the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, views were amazing.

Day 2:

-Up early, had breakfast, took the metro to Montmartre

- Walked what seemed to be the steepest flight of stairs to Sacre Coeur, beautiful place and amazing views (didn't realise there was a funicular on the other side, oops)

- Walked from Montmartre to the Louvre as I had an 11am booking.

- Waited outside the Louvre for almost two hours as they had a delayed opening and there were thousands of people ahead of our time slot. Ended up wandering around the museum for about two hours.

- Lunch from Petit Fournil, had a jambon emmental and a tarte aux poires, sat in the gardens at Palais Royal to eat.

- In the evening I had dinner at L'Aller Retour in Le Marais, had escargot and boudin noir, was amazing!

- Then took the Metro to see the Arc de Triomphe, and went back to the Trocadero to see the Eiffel Tower lit up.

Day 3 I took the train from Gare du Nord to Rotterdam and spent two nights in the Hague which was a nice change of pace, as after three days and 80,000 steps (almost 40 miles of walking) I was thoroughly burnt out and took my last two days in the Netherlands much slower, with coffeeshop visits for a smoke and a space cake and some museums 🙂

Next time I will definitely stay a bit longer as I feel like I crammed a weeks worth of stuff into two days!

Good afternoon everyone, happy Friday!

I'm going to be staying in Paris for two nights for my birthday at the Hotel Le Mareuil (near Bd Voltaire and Av de la Republique and Republique Metro station) and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for nice places to eat/drink in the area? It's my first time in Paris and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm then taking the Eurostar to Amsterdam for days three and four of my trip. Wish I could stay longer but these peak season hotel prices are crazy!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions ♥️
