Epsilon

I'm not sure if this has already been discussed, but recently while hunting at the galelio observatory I found a couple things that I find interesting.

Firstly the symbols on the door, which are often associated with the spider web mystery, are almost identical to the real life counterpart(Griffith observatory). I find this intriguing in a game full of riffs on pop culture and history. So why keep it the same? Furthermore looking into the history of the real life counterpart, I found that early telescopes used spider webs as a crosshair to accurately scan and pin point interesting parts of the sky. As far as epsilon goes, as far as I've been able to read(so please correct if wrong), most people believe epsilon is just a random name meant to show how cults make themselves out to be more spiritual than they are. But I believe it actually derives its name from Uranus primary ring, which goes by the same name. Considering the observatory's orbit lines only shows Uranus, as well as the joke we see at the hippie camp. I would be interested to see if there's more history behind the planet or it's rings that might help the investigation.

Side note, I mentioned I find it weird for the observatory's doors to be nearly identical to real life even when the game has no issues making fun of history or pop culture. The Altruist also get their name from a real life "religion" or spiritual practice.

Thanks for reading, please let me know your thoughts.

Possible Doomsday Connection?

So recently I was replaying gta5 trying to 100% the game. And while scrolling through the trophy icons, I kept seeing the infinity symbol on certain trophies. The same symbol also appears on the doomsday mural, is it possible it's a hint towards where we should be looking?

Update on Spiderweb Mystery

Reddit won't let me post the video and photo together, but I recently found more webs in GTA 5s prologue and I believe a web can be found in the cutscene after the train hits the car. I uploaded another post with a video showing the other webs. In total I've found 9 in the prologue.

Update on the Spiderweb Mystery

So I've been enthralled by the spiderweb mystery recently much like most people in the community. I decided to go back over old mysteries, and pieces of the puzzle that went cold when they were initially found. 10 years ago a spiderweb texture was found in north yankton both in the prologue and bury the hatchet. However due to the texture being called sewer grate in the text files, as well as it being found on all the rocks next to the frozen alien, it was dismissed as being a texture glitch. But with the recent findings of the 9 webs in RDR2 on the electrical poles, and the spider webs found on Mount Chilliad being made from electrical wires, I had a feeling we were missing something. Combing over the prologue I was able to find more spiderwebs, I've found a total of 9 spider webs so far, matching the 9 found in rdr2. Most interesting to me tho is it appears one of the webs actually appears in the cutscene right after the train hits the car. I've attached video to show my findings, hope this helps the hunt.

Edit: It should be mentioned that YouTuber Whizl released a video showcasing that these spiders webs near the bank glow green(currently undiscovered how to activate in game), whereas the webs on the rock do not. Meaning rockstar intentionally altered the code to be uniquely different.

Comparing the size of sewer grates from story mode compared to north Yankton reveals a good size difference between the two. Not to mention the only time this specific "sewer grate" texture is used is in north yankton.
