For me, I've been easily competiting with Division 1 players with him. He's quite nimble, fast enough I'm this meta. Can shoot the ball, make great passes despite his passing stats because of his Player ID.
Am I bugging or is he actually good?
When I got him at first, I wasn't pleased since everyone was hyping Aguero, or Rooney but he is surprisingly pretty good.
Just like Rijkard, his stats aren't his main appeal. But actually his positioning on the field (not as good as Rijkard though).
When your on the pitch, everytime a opposing midfielder passes the ball, his LRT is very present and swats the ball away.
In terms of physicality, he can handle most midfielders and can push them away despite what his balance say. Though stronger midfielders like Gullit, Bellingham will body him.
Surprisingly, he is very nimble when moving around than other DMFs who feel heavier like Rijkard, and it was quite easy moving around with him and he felt quite responsive.
As for his passing, it was quite good despite having 84, 81 passing stats. Of course, he won't pass the most perfect balls. But for a ball playing DMF, he can make decent passes to your attackers and midfielders.
Overall, he is quite an underdog in this pack and actually quite good. Is he better than Rijkard? No. Is he still a good option for Anchor Man? Yes. I wouldn't look past him, as he handles the Anchor Man role quite well.
Does Anyone Still Use Him?
I still use him to push to Division 1 over other higher rated midfielders, he's nimble, fast, dribbles well, can do free kicks. Only major downside is his aerial duels which he loses frequently. But does anyone still use him even over higher rated cards?
