How to support focus in a big family?

We are really trying to figure out a homework system for our fourth grade son with ADHD. He isn’t defiant or angry about it, but he literally cannot focus on the page if he hears any noise at all. It’s not a large amount of work, but it takes him FOREVER to do a single problem due to distraction. We have a big family of small children, so our house is never silent. We have everyone else read after they finish their work, but our toddler obviously is not quiet… We can’t send him in his room to do the work because he will get distracted by everything else in the room without constant supervision and wants to know what is happening outside the room, and I also have to help him with the content of the work often. Any ideas for help with this? He wants to do well, so it’s very hard for all of us when we don’t know how to help him.

What career should I go into for a remote, part-time, flexible schedule with good pay?

I have been in multiple career fields in my life, and I’m ready to look for something new that fits with our current family situation. I have a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and worked in medical device complaint handling and regulatory affairs/quality for four years before switching to regulatory consulting for international medical device companies for another year and a half. After taking a break from work to stay home with the little ones, I became an online English tutor for some extra spending money, which was my least favorite job. I then worked as a Pre-K teacher for the tuition discount, and I also went to EMT school to serve in our local volunteer fire department. We adopted two more children, so our lives became very busy with everyone’s schedules. Then, after being asked to consider a role on church staff, I became a full-time kids ministry director and have been in that position for 3.5 years. We also had another baby during that time. Working every Sunday is difficult on our family, and my husband is a firefighter and is gone for two (or more) days at a time. He also works extra jobs at two other departments on some of his off days. My husband and I are also CPR instructors and teach classes every once in a while, but it’s definitely not a large source of income since we usually teach for non-profits and schools. I’m open to doing some training to go into a new field of work, but I have a few things that are important to me in any new role with our large family: part-time, flexible schedule; mentally stimulating; decent earning potential; remote. I loved being an engineer, but the part-time schedule and flexibility is tough to find.

TLDR: What career field should I go into that is part-time, flexible, and remote?
