DP Reduction Deletion Protection Interaction

DP Reduction Deletion Protection Interaction

So I'm not sure my understanding of this interaction is correct, so I'm hoping you guys can help.

Situation:

Because of previous effects, two of my opponent's digimon are currently considered 'Sukamon'.

My opponent reduces my KingSukamon to 0 DP.

Does this cause a loop triggering KingSukamon's inherited from Targetmon, allowing me to delete one of my opponent's 'Sukamon's to prevent the deletion during the rule check, but since it still has 0 DP, another rule check would trigger, allowing me to delete my opponent's other 'Sukamon' before KingSukamon is ultimately deleted by the third rule check?

When I looked it up, I couldn't find anything about this specific interaction, but the rulings I did find say DP reduction is still a deletion, so it appears it should play out the way I described.

What's your interesting battle story?

Whether its locals or just playing just for fun, almost everyone has at least one good story. It may have been an insane combo or an unexpected result, I just want to know your most interesting battle stories. I'll start:

At a recent local event, first round, my BlackWarGreymon deck got absolutely demolished three times by a Three Musketeer deck. Since it went down quickly, we decided to do an exhibition battle to run out the clock for the round. Since I never have occasion to use it, I decided why not break out my old D-Reaper deck just for fun.

I pretty handily wiped out the same Three Musketeer deck that stomped me before because every removal the player was running was level based. Both my opponent and I were pretty amused.

Now, are there ways to improve their deck to compensate? Of course. We just both found it so utterly unexpected and mildly amusing.

What stories do you have?

This Guy Didn't Know What He Had

I recently picked up nearly 30 pounds of bulk at auction. It was a lot of early sets(BT1 to BT13) that had been stripped of almost all SR and SEC cards. I kinda figured it would be when I ordered it, but I haven't bought most of those sets yet, so I was actually happy to get bulk from them.

My favorite thing about doing this is when the person misses valuable cards of lower rarity. As an example, I pulled 10 copies of Nidhoggmon. That alone pays almost half of what I spent on the lot.

Does anyone else have a story of 'This guy clearly didn't know what he had'?

Idea For A New Recovery Keyword

I had an idea for a new keyword today that I thought might be interesting. Instead of recovery from deck, this keyword would allow recovery from your trash.

I haven't figured out how it would work yet. Maybe randomly selecting a card from your trash to place as your top security card?

The new keyword would be called [Recycle X]

Thoughts?

My friend and I were discussing changes to the mechanics of the game over time. Outside of new keywords, some of the most noteable changes have been ACEs, Link Cards, and with the upcoming set, Dual Cards. I'm always excited to see how new mechanics change the state of play.

We started discussing other changes we could see in the future. This led to a couple of predictions.

I think by the end of 2027, we'll have a new color category added, likely orange. No particular reason I believe this. I just think it would be neat.

Another prediction I have is a new type of card: Digivice Cards. I've been thinking about how digivices could be implemented in the game for awhile. I think the most likely use would be to add them to tamers like Link cards, and they would give Tamers an extra ability or protection. Or maybe a digivice ties a tamer to a stack to give the digimon some sort of boost or ability, but then the tamer is trashed like digivolution cards if the digimon is bounced or deleted.

These are just a couple of the ideas I've had. I'd love to hear feedback on them or any predictions anyone else would like to contribute.
