Hi all! If you're like me, you really like this app (the combo of the vibes, incentives/customization, different settings/seasons are all great). Unfortunately, there are tons of bugs (as we've seen) and also ideas I've thought of that could make this better (e.g., being able to trade a certain number of coffee beans for golden beans would be amazing). I'm wondering if anyone else has similar ideas?
Maybe we could pool them here, and then submit to the developers, if anyone knows how?
Hi everyone, just wanted to ask if my and one of my roommates are the ones in the wrong over this? There are three of us in this apartment, we'll call everyone me, person A, and person B. The three of us, at the beginning of moving in, sat down to talk about house rules. Person B was very much not for the conversation and had previously pushed back to helping with chores overall, which perhaps should have been the first red flag, but she ultimately agreed. Person B has had multiple times of insisting how clean she is, how she would just clean up after herself, and that she's so used to cleaning for everyone else but as will come later is definitely not that. She has left out raw egg overnight, food in the oven for days, and leave stuff all over the place but will keep her own room tidy. She does NOT keep to her schedule for cleaning whatsoever and doesn't clean any shared area (including the bathroom she shares) at all. She's probably said stuff to her friends who have made passive aggressive comments when they're over (and she doesn't really ask appropriately when she wants them over, and keeps them longer than she had initially asked for. E.g., she has also asked for her friends to be over "for the weekend" and later said that they were staying from Thursday to Monday). Person A is more frustrated than me over this as it feels disrespectful and that we're always cleaning up after her (and she's probably telling her friends we're the dirty ones...), and we've already tried to bring it up to her nicely here and there. Are Person A and I the wrong ones here? How do we move forward?
Hi everyone,
Seeking any advice or guidance on what to do…have always been not the best test taker, but somehow was able to previously improve a lot and do well on the MCAT so the potential is there. That being said, I haven’t gotten close yet to my goal score of 255+, and I don’t know what else to do.
Was planning to take step 2 on 7/29, but am considering getting a new scheduling permit to take it mid-August, although this is risky with getting the score back very close to when residency applications start. Also, due to USMLE policy, I wouldn’t be able to sign up for an actual test date until around 5-6 days before my desired test date, so it is risky in that I might not get the test date/location I need.
I have increased from a baseline of 214 to 243 on NBME 14/15, though still plateauing at 238 most recently on NBME 16 yesterday, which is why I’m worried. I have used most of UW on a second pass, and have done some select Amboss as well as 1 of each of the most recent CMS forms and 3 IM ones. Scoring 74%-84% on those. My problem seems to be 50:50 small content gaps vs. overthinking/reasoning/not understanding how the NBME asks questions, which I’m trying to work on.
I’m wondering if it’s worth the risk of pushing my exam out? More importantly, am wondering how to approach studying to really get my score up either way?
Appreciate any advice - thanks very much in advance!
