The motifs for San Marino's 2027 2 euro commemoratives have been unveiled!

One of San Marino's 2027 commemoratives will be dedicated to the 300th Anniversary of the Death of english physicist Isaac Newton. The other commemorative will be dedicated to "San Marino, The Land of Peace".

Both coins will be issued in BU coincards, Proof, and Reverse Proof, and - as always - will not be issued into circulation.

A long-awaited announcement for all euro collectors: Bulgaria's very first 2 euro commemorative design has finally been unveiled. It is dedicated to the Bulgarian alphabet, one of the oldest alphabet systems still in use in the world. It was first developed in the 9th/10th centuries AD in Preslav Literary School in Pliska, then the capital of the First Bulgarian Empire.

The design shows a composition of the text 'BULGARIAN ALPHABET' in Bulgarian. The design was made by Svetlin Balezdrov and Stoyan Derchev.

The mintage of this coin will be 1.000.000 - of which all coins are expected to enter circulation.

Lithuania has surprised us this year with a second 2 euro commemorative! This coin will commemorate the city of Kaunas, the second-largest city in Lithuania, after Vilnius. It is unclear whether or not this coin is part of a new national series commemorating cities of Lithuania, although it is likely, as one of Lithuania's 2027 2 euro commemoratives will commemorate the city of Klaipėda.

Description of the design: The national side of the coin features a panorama of the city, including the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, the House of Perkūnas, Kaunas Town Hall, the towers of St. Francis Xavier Church, and Kaunas Castle. Symbols of modernism of the temporary capital are shown as well: Kaunas Central Post Office, and the Basilica of the Resurrection of Christ.

The motif was designed by Tomas Dragūras. The coin will have a total mintage of 500,000, of which 495,000 will be issued into circulation. The coin will be released into circulation in Q4 2026.

Today, Luxembourg has finally unveiled their 2027 2 euro commemorative themes.

One of Luxembourg's 2027 2 euro commemoratives is dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU). This is the judicial branch of the European Union and is headquartered in Luxembourg City. This institution is in charge for overseeing the implementation of EU Laws, and is also in charge of resolving legal conflicts between National Laws and EU Laws.

The other 2027 2 euro commemorative is dedicated to the Roude Léiw flag. This flag was chosen to be the civil ensign of Luxembourg in 1972, and was the subject of debate in 2006, as it was suggested to replace Luxembourg's official flag with it.

The mintages of these coins is not known, but it is likely that they will continue to issue coins with a mintage of just 120.000 IFC, as was the case for Luxembourg's 2 euro commemoratives since 2023.

The design of Croatia's first 2026 commemorative has finally been unveiled! The coin is dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of Croatian Radio and Television. HRT, Croatia's national broadcaster, was founded on 15. May, 1926, and was the second radio station to begin airing in the Balkans.

The coin will be issued with a mintage of 200.000 on 18. July, 2026.
