Incoming freshman class advice (comparative literature)

Hello! I'm an incoming freshman majoring in art and trying to do a bio minor. So far in my saved schedule, I have a required art studio, a required art history course, hopefully intro to chem, and then the following, for a total of 5 courses:

  • COMPLITTHT 3330-01 - Topics in Comparative Literature: 'That’s Amore': Philosophies of love from ancient Greece to C.S. Lewis
  • LING 1600-02 - Introduction to Linguistics

I know that the lit class is a 3000s class, so I was wondering if anyone thinks it would be too much to handle. I enjoy writing and literature, and I wanted to fulfill my humanities credit requirement with it, but I'd love to hear from anyone who's taken a similar course and knows what the workload might be like. Any other general comments/advice on my schedule are welcomed as well!

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for a fun course that they enjoyed during their freshman/sophomore years? I'd love to branch out and learn about new topics that aren't art or biology related.

Thank you so much!
