what's wrong with my pie dough ;-;

what's wrong with my pie dough ;-;

it's so mushy? i mixed it by hand and made sure not to knead and only mixed it until combined, then chilled it in the fridge for an hour and it's still mushy? the entire flat disk was hard like it should be but I don't get what's wrong and why it's this texture. it's not the texture of dough at all and I'm gonna cry cuz this is my 2nd attempt

I'm making celeste's strawberry pie and the recipe for the dough is:

• 2 cups of flour

• 3 tbsp of sugar (I put 2)

• 2 tsp of salt (I put 1)

• 1.5 cups of butter or 3 sticks

• 1/2 cup of ice water (recipe says you don't have to use it all, I used about 2-3 tsps)

GP not taking my sharp pains seriously, 10 years spinal fusion. pain now getting worse.

I booked a gp appointment over a month ago explaining I had sharp pains when I'm leaning back against my desk chair and rotate my upper body. I had to wait 2 weeks for the appointment and the dr did a small exam and referred me to physio. it took a month just to get a call from physio to then set up an appointment which is gonna take another month to actually attend. (still waiting lol)

my pain has since gotten worse, it now hurts constantly and I feel tightness in my back along with the small sharp pains sometimes that I originally had. the pain disrupts my daily activities, my sleep, and makes me bedridden some days. I called for another appointment explaining all of this and begging for an x-ray as I'm worried a screw is getting loose. (I asked to be referred for an x-ray for my first appointment too, which they ignored). they've now set me up for another appointment that's over a month away (in july!) and it's another basic exam, no x-ray, nothing else.

I don't feel like they're taking my pain seriously and I don't know what complications I can have if a screw is getting loose but waiting months for an appointment while my pain is getting worse is insane. why are they not referring me for an x-ray?? last time I checked, people don't have x-ray vision so what's the point of another exam? they're not gonna magically see through my back and be able to tell what's wrong??

is there somewhere else I can go that will actually take this seriously and not make me wait months for nothing? I'm in London, UK.

sharp pains where my rod ends when leaning back against my desk chair

24/f. so I found out I had scoliosis when I was a kid, got the surgery done at 14 and things have been pretty okay so far 10 years later. some back pain here and there but until recently it was never as bad as before I had the surgery. (50° curve, fused from my lower back to mid back)

for the last 3-4 months, I've been getting a lot of back pain where my left rod ends at my mid back. it happens whenever I lean back against my desk chair. and only happens with my left rod. I'm curious to know what you all think of the sudden pain? like could the screws be getting loose or is my rod going to puncture out through my skin or something else? has anyone experienced this before?

I admit I'm really not physically active (back hurts when I'm standing up for hours at a time) so I'm mostly sat at my desk all day. (I'm also quite skinny at 5'6 100lbs) I also don't sit like a normal human being so I'm normally sat with my legs up on my chair or I'm sitting on top of them which I know isn't great for posture.

is how I'm usually sat the issue? could something bigger be going on?

I've already made and attended an appointment with my GP over this and they weren't very useful. I asked for an X-RAY and never got one. Instead they referred me to a physiotherapist which I had to wait a month for just for a phone call and now I have to wait another month to actually start it (which is happening at the end of this month)

the pains slowly been getting worse. first it was just whenever I leaned back against my chair and twisted my body to grab something at my side, but now it'll hurt if I have my hair in a braid and my hair tie digs into my back while I'm laying in bed or sitting. sometimes it'll just slightly hurt when I'm laying down anyway. what's weird is if I press on the area where it hurts when I'm standing or sitting up properly, it doesn't hurt nearly as much.

I don't know what's going on and my anxiety over it is slowly increasing :(
