▲ 10 r/ACT

Is it worth it to retake the ACT just to improve my math score?

For reference, I am in AP Calculus BC so I forgot a lot of the math on the ACT. I didn’t study when i took it and I got a 32 composite (35 English, 34 Reading, 26 Math). Should I retake it? To get a 33, my math score would need to raise to a 29.

I’m not super familiar with how exactly the ACT is judged in college admissions, but I really want to get into the range I hear is the “golden range” for ACT scores (34-36). I’m just worried that it wouldn’t be plausible to raise my score to a 30 in math and score a 36 on English and Reading.

Has anyone else experienced this (scoring poorly in one subject but good in the others)? If so, how did you deal with it?

My score is currently cancelled right now because it’s being reviewed, but when I had it it looked like the photo attached.
