Obligatory discalimer, I do ot own the franchises, the art or the logos used here.
what do you guys think of this design? I created this to play with my family and small group of friend, cards are from anime that most of us watched. there are three type of cards:
Units: the characters that have a mana cost(blue tear), attac kpoints(red swords), health points(red tear), attack speed(yellow lighting, determine who attack first in battle) and intelligence(yellow brain bulb, kinda superfecial right now). Units tends to have higher HP than ATK because of a personal choice, I Don't want cards to be one shotted and not have chance to do something meaningful.
units also have elements and types (the logos in the top of text area) and finally effect. Effects generally are something that is in character with the character of the card.
Spells: instant cards that uses man to Apply their effects, smaller text area because most of their effects are simple (so far).
artefacts:sort of weapon cards, attaches to unit, if unit types matches the artefact bonus type the unit get the secondary bonus in addition.
effect terminology includes : search (add from deck to hand), revive (summon from graveyard), silence (card effect are negated), root (unit can't attack or defend).
Goal: reduce opponent life points to zero, mostly by attaking enemy units then direct attack the opponent.
The design is very simple because I am more of computer science developper than a designer, I used a simple template and ran a python code that generated the cards based on the informations in a spreadsheet me and my friend compiled.
Would love some suggestions on improving design. And if some of you have ideas on characters to implement I would also love to hear it.
