Question for Mulberry Bayswater owners – how far does the rigid tubing extend inside your handles?

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a pre-owned Mulberry Bayswater and noticed something about one of the handles.
The handles have a rigid internal core/tubing, but on one end of one rear handle the tubing stops about an inch before the leather tab, leaving a long section of unsupported soft leather. On the other end of the same handle, the tubing extends almost all the way to the tab. My front handle is much more even but has the same problem.

Has anyone seen this happen on older Bayswaters?
Is this mostly a cosmetic issue caused by the internal handle core moving?

Many thanks
