Why do we stay in Indiranagar?

I work a remote job. My company has office in Whitefield where I usually go once a week. I used to stay in Whitefield 1.5 years and then moved to Indiranagar with my flatmates. Then I moved out again but decided to stay put at Indiranagar in a 1 bhk apartment with kinda high rent.

Everyone asks me why I stay in Bangalore, and that too stay in such an expensive area despite not having to. My answer is often that Indiranagar is lively - nice cafes, restaurants, parks, bars etc. It’s green and good places in walkable distance. It’s close enough to central bangalore and Whitefield is accessible via metro. I like people here - individualistic, polite, open minded and keeping to their own business.

It’s not easy to put a finger on one thing, but something about this place is sticky. What are your reasons?

Nightmare Sunburn Union Experience

I had the misfortune of going to Sunburn Union yesterday to attend the Vini Vici set. My friends had taken guest list passes. Only after waiting in line for 15 mins and reaching the desk did they say we had to scan at the gate and then come to the desk. We were out of patience and bought the Swiggy passes and got in.

We were relieved we got in, but boy were we not prepared to see the crowd inside. It was packed to the T with barely space to move around. Heck my friend got groped in there. We waited a while longer to give the night a chance, eventually decided to get out of there. I feel like I should stick to just concerts and not techno clubs like these.

Anyone else feel the same?
