Proposed new townhouse development in the Ellicott City historic district.

I wanted to bring to people's attention a proposed new townhouse development in the Ellicott City historic district, on the Court Hill Property. The pre-submission meeting for the proposed development is this Wednesday, June 24, at 6:15 pm, at Miller Library.

This property, which is currently wooded, drains directly into the Hudson Branch and has the potential to impact Main Street directly in a future flash flood. I have confirmation direct from the engineering firm that this is a proposed NEW development of 8 townhouses, in addition to apartment buildings that are already on this site. A lot of trees would have to come down to make this happen.

I suspect that anyone with property or a business on Main Street would be particularly interested in finding out what is planned. I hope to see a substantial turnout!
