Found in my backyard after lots of rain (central FL)
It feels like a rock but I can’t say I’ve ever seen a rock shaped so much like a tooth, but I’m not a bone-ologist so idk

TLDR: Doxy triggered my depression after the fact
Some backstory: I’ve been treated for and found great success with said treatment for depression. Very rarely do I have an episode and when I do it’s maybe a day or two aside from a handful of genuine traumatic life events triggering it. I haven’t been on antidepressants for 10 years and I’d say I was doing relatively well. Also for context, I am allergic to just about every other antibiotic.
About three weeks ago I was bitten by a feral cat, and even through receiving a series of 4 rabies shots, two immunoglobulin shots, and the pain from the wound, I had a pretty normal/okay mindset. Even with the nausea and yeast infection from the doxy I was managing! But now that I’ve been off of it for over a week, I’ve been horribly out of it and it feels just like it did when I was 18. I’ve been taking probiotics, eating well, drinking lots of water, and I’m not feeling any better.
I’ve heard of withdrawals from doxycycline and did the googling and some say it MIGHT cause a dip in mental health but I did not expect it to affect me this hard. Also just about everywhere I look only talks about symptoms of depression while actively on the drug.
I guess what I’m asking is, has anyone else had depression days AFTER finishing doxy? If so, did it go away as your gut biome corrected or did you need outside help? I’ll be contacting my doctor today, I would also just really like to hear some other testimonials from others who may have similar experiences.
Update: idk what happened but it’s like it all just suddenly went away. Maybe the probiotics finally started working? Maybe the Doxy is finally out of my system? I’ve got no clue! But I’m okay now, very suddenly. Strange.
