day 1 yesterday and i slept like a zombie for 7 hours in the middle of the day…….

no big questions or anything, i just find it hilarious that i was prepared for mega anxiety and insomnia and got the exact opposite 😅

hi all. my history is a long one with precancer and 6 LEEPs, so i won't go into it all, but during my most recent LEEP in feb they found squamous cell carcinoma, HPV-associated. it was quite a small bit and removed during that time, but they also found LSVI.

they've staged me at 1a1 with LSVI, so a node removal will need to be done no matter what. my gyn onc has given me some options for surgery, and i feel like i've researched them all to death and am still no clearer.

#1 is cone biopsy + node removal. #2 is trachelectomy + node removal. #3 is simple hysterectomy + node removal. we won't know about chemo/radiation until after the tissue is tested

obviously fertility is a factor, i'm 36 but always wanted to keep the option open to carry, however i don't want to risk my own life to do so. i know my pregnancy will be high risk which also makes me wonder if it's even worth it. if i was well off/wealthy, i would easily choose the hysterectomy, but i don't think a gestational carrier will be in my future financially.

anyway, would love to hear some stories of what others have chosen to do <3
