Any questions you'd like to ask about jade/buying jade in china?

I thought I'd create a post to answer any questions people might have about all things jade, or buying jade in china. My dad owns a jade workshop and shop where we source, cut and sell our own burmese jadeite for the last 30 years. His shop is in the jade street area in Foshan :)

Leave your questions below and I'll try answer them (or ask my dad for you!). Or feel free to message me in private too :)

Swipe to the end to see the raw jadeite stones we cut:)

Showcasing a couple of the lavender and green jadeite bangles that my dad made at our jade workshop recently ☺️

It's absolutely one of my favorite jade colours.

I call this 🦄 unicorn colours!! What's your favorite jade colours?

Custom burmese jadeite weddings rings

Just wanted to share a set of wedding rings we made for a customer with jadeite stones my dad sourced from a wholesale market and cut himself ☺️ this shade is called 油青 (oily green) or we call it Aqua Green at our store.

The stones are set in 14ct white gold. What do you guys think? :D

Hello everyone! I'm Kathy, founder of a jadiete jewellery brand called Jayde Jewellery. Just a little promo here - I hope it's allowed. I'm not a regular reddit user so please delete if this is not okay 🙏🏻

We're a small family business selling modern jadeite designs that are designed in-house and made with untreated jadeite thst my dad sources from markets and handcuts himself :) He's been in the jade industry for over three decades since before I was born and I decided to create this brand to help more younger people fall in love with jade and connect to their culture 😊

If you guys have any questions jade related, feel free to comment or message me and I'll be more than happy to help 💕

We are based in Sydney and Foshan/Hong Kong btw and ship worldside.

Our store is jayde-jewellery.com and instagram is jayde_jewellery where you can see our behind-the-scenes process :) we do custom orders (as long as we have the raw jade stones in the shade you like) and bangle appointments in sydney :)

Edit: Thank you to those who gave feedback that you wanted to support us but out pricing is abit too high. We'll definitely look into finding ways to see how to make it more affordable for more people while still running a sustainable business. We'll be uploading bangle listings that are on the cheaper end soon so stayed tuned!

While we don't have the advantage of pieces that are mass produced or treated, our pieces are designed in-house with a one year warranty and moneyback authenticity guarantee xx

Also we do have much cheaper, more traditional jade pieces at our workshop overseas so feel free to message us if you're looking for anything specific. If you purchase from my dad directly offline, it'll be much cheaper as there'll be less costs and fees.

Thank you so much!

Kathy x
