the part right before femtanyl starts talking

i record almost everything that is significant such as beating a game, something cool i made, general stuff for my youtube, sometimes an entire playthrough spanning multiple recordings

now, I'm running out of space on my computer with 4 tbs of storage in total, and i want to put these recordings on a separate drive, a 1 tb drive should do just fine but seeing the current ssd market an ssd is not viable, so is there a way to make a hard drive last longer?
