When would you say was the last time the show truly invested in a couple for the long term and one where the characters had chemistry
Something about the last few years of EastEnders is there’s no couples to root for… I am enjoying Harry and Gina and Penny & Vinny just like everyone else but can’t shake off that feeling of the bombshell of Penny’s baby being Harry’s that is about to burst. Jasmine/Oscar/Josh was atrocious; Mark and Lauren won’t end well, I don’t care for Ian and Elaine, Vicki deserves better than Ross and Zack and Max entire character revolves around romance/sex
It seems all relationships since 2015 are ill-matched, boring or the writers completely lost the ball

Alfie
Is it just me or has Alfies character improved under Wadey. I love how protective he is over Jasmine and he’s more energetic and jack the lad similar to the Alfie back in 2000s
