We’ve finally finished the install and happy with how everything looks except we have a lot of spare cable.
We used 10m extensions and have about 4m left that could be removed.
Is it worth the effort and money to buy the kit to remove 4m of excess cable?
Are the DC losses enough to warrant it? 4mm thickness.

Hi, I’m looking for some confirmation of my thought process on an under sized inverter.
I’m will have an APSystems EZ1D 1800w inverter with 8 JA 460W solar panels.
I’m mounting 4 panels on a West wall and 4 on an East wall of the house.
The manual says I can have 8 panels total with 4 on each MPPT, 2 series doubled by parallel.
My panels have a V of 40.6 and A of 13.66 which is over the MPPT max of 20A.
But if I were to parallel 2 West panels in series with 2 East panels in series per MPPT would this be OK as realistically they wont both be producing at the same time, this would lower the A well below the limit as would probably be zero from one side at a time?

I've ordered 2 microinverters and 4 460 JA panels from City Plumbing.
I've searched and read lots of posts about having multiple inverters, ideally I want to have them both output 800w each into the house, we have a 900w base load.
I know they wont get near to maxing out at 800w but my main question is based on them being just under 4A output each will they both be ok on the same ring when that ring is an unused EV charger line for a 32A 7.7 charger?
If so follow up question, the 2 inverters will be 15m away from the access to that ring, can I merge them at the panels and then have 1 cable take it the 15m to the ring? I've ordered 2.5mm 3 core, could that handle 8A theoretically?

Our itinerary changed and our ship departs Vancouver at 8pm instead of 4pm but the app still says all aboard for 3:30pm, this seems strange to have us sit there for 4 hours. Do you think the time will change so we can explore more or how could I find out? This is embarkation day.
