what usb-c hub actually survives being carried around every day?

i've killed three usb-c hubs this year just from carrying them around

they spend most of their time in a backpack, getting pulled out and plugged in several times a day. two ended up with loose ports, and the other gets noticeably hot whenever i use hdmi and power at the same time

i don't need anything fancy. ideally i'm looking for 100w power passthrough, at least a couple of usb-a ports, and hdmi that doesn't randomly flicker if the hub gets bumped

the frustrating part is that a lot of hubs seem perfectly fine when they're sitting on a desk. it's the constant plugging, unplugging and tossing them into a bag that seems to expose the weak points

i'm willing to spend more than the usual cheap hub price if it actually means better build quality, but i'd rather not pay $100+ just for a nicer looking piece of aluminum

for people who actually carry their hub around every day, which one has held up the longest?

first flip is turning into a disaster and I want out

bought a house thinking I'd make a quick 20k. it was a foreclosure, got it cheap, looked fine on the surface. just needed paint and floors I thought. well jokes on me. opened the walls and found knob and tube wiring everywhere. had to rewire the whole house. then the plumbing started leaking. then the roof started leaking. now I'm 20k over budget and I haven't even touched the kitchen yet.

I'm out of money and Im just done.

has anyone here walked away from a flip that went bad? how did you do it? I feel like a failure but I also feel like I'm drowning
