Join us Sunday as Windsor City FC fights for the OPL2 Championship and promotion

Hey Windsorites,

Windsor City FC is having a magnificent season and has one game left — and it's a big one.

This Sunday, August 23 at 3 PM, we're hosting Masters FA at Acumen Stadium in the final game of the OPL2 season. A win or a draw is enough to secure the championship and promotion to the first division.

Promotion would be a huge step for soccer in Windsor. The OPL is the highest level of soccer in Ontario, and the first division champions earn a place in the Canadian Championship, where they can go up against teams from the CPL and MLS.

With some exciting news potentially coming to Windsor's soccer scene soon, getting promoted could be even more important.

It's been a big year for soccer in Canada, so now is a good time to show some support for the team in our own backyard.

If you're in Windsor, come out to Acumen Stadium on Sunday and support this team. Let's bring the trophy home.

Tickets are just CAD$10 and are available through windsorcityfc.com or at the gate.

Best Spots for Champions League Final and World Cup?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for places here in town (ideally somewhere close to or in downtown) to watch the Champions League final this Saturday. Any sports bars or pubs you know that will definitely be showing the game and actually have people there watching lol

Also, with the World Cup coming up, I’m hoping to catch some matches here and there too. Mainly the earlier kickoff games, not the ones starting at 2am

So if you have any other recommendations besides the CL final spots, I’d really appreciate it!

Merci!

Hey everyone,

I’m an EU citizen moving to Liège in less than two weeks and I’m looking for some advice on learning French

Right now I’m at a beginner level, and my main goal during my 6-month stay is to reach at least an intermediate level. Ideally, I’d like to take classes so I’m trying to find something affordable (or at least good value)

I’ve come across Cripel (Centre Régional pour l’Intégration des Personnes Étrangères) and heard they might offer low-cost or even free classes but I’m not sure how accurate or up-to-date that info is. So I wanted to ask:

Has anyone taken classes through Cripel recently?

Are there other affordable options in Liège (schools, community programs, etc.)?

Any good online/remote alternatives you’d recommend?

Appreciate any tips or experiences you can share. Thanks in advance!
