Considering an Indian Scout Bobber as a daily rider in Argentina. Thoughts on the TFT screen?
Hello everyone! I'm from Argentina and I'm considering getting an Indian Scout Bobber as my daily ride.
Down here, we don't get the full model lineup. At the moment, we only have the Standard version, a few leftover units of the Limited version (once these are sold, they won't be bringing any more in), the Limited + Tech, super scout and 101 (These 2, are outside of my budget)
The Standard and the Limited + Tech are the two models they will keep importing. Since I'm planning on buying the bike in about 4 to 5 months, I was thinking of going for the LTD + Tech. However, I didn’t really want a TFT screen. To be honest, my top choice would be the regular Limited because it has the upgraded tech package (Riding modes, cruise control, etc) but keeps that "old school" vibe with the analog tachometer.
I've read a few posts here and there saying that the TFT screen is glitchy or causes some trouble. What has your experience been with it?
Also, for context, not many people know about Indian in Argentina. It is extremely expensive to import brands like Indian or Harley-Davidson, so it's rare to see either on the road. HD has a long history in the country with plenty of older models available, but right now, a brand new Harley costs about 15% to 20% more than an Indian here.
Thats why I would love to hear your thoughts on the TFT vs. Analog, or any advice for a future owner!
