Struts replacement

Infinity q50, 2019. Front tires had severe pitting, shop said to change the front struts and replace tires.

He said he’d have to order struts from the infinity dealer since their supplier didn’t have them. I asked if they have Bridgestone Potenza tires as shown on their website. He said they could get them from the warehouse but tried selling me Bridgestone DriveGuards instead (poorer performance when I did my research). He said come back in a couple days and place your order online for the tires you want so I ordered the Potenzas and came back a couple days later for the work to be completed.

Came back to the shop to pick up my car at the end of the day and the rep said they just need to put the tires on…car was in the stall lifted for 2 hours….finally they bring it out front and they installed the wrong tires (DriveGuards that I specifically said no to)….I didn’t notice until I drove home and they were closing when I left. I lost my trust in the place after that move.

  1. how do I know they even changed my struts? Pics attached literally only drove 5 miles in some rain. Do these look new?

  2. I’m going to insist on them replacing the tires. Even the receipt says the name of the tires I ordered. Honest mistake? Unlikely. Will they agree to swap them out? How should i go about this?

Note: this is a large franchise so my plan is to see what they say at the shop. Any pushback and I will call corporate. I’m not wasting time arguing with the shop.

I live in an apartment and would like to know what the best way to fill these gaps. The standard plastic covers on the outlets are obviously not enough to keep the noise out. I hear every footstep despite having concrete beneath the flooring. I think sealing these gaps or covering these unused outlets with some kind of foam cover will help. Any ideas?
