Terrible Experience
Oh man am I happy that Apollo asked me to share my experience and that they have a REDDIT PAGE!
I bough the Apollo City. The first day I rode it, I noticed a weird defect on the screen. Given that I just paid a lot of money for the scooter and had just gotten it, I hit up their warranty department. They immediately gave me the option to have a replacement screen sent free of charge. I took that option. Then the “warranty department” tracked my rides, and pushed the blame onto me for riding in a HIGH HUMIDITY location (summer like days in 82 degree weather), and that they’d close the ticket out and note on my file in case it stays. They stated it was condensation from the humidity.I demanded a new screen. I had to pay for shipping. Ridiculous.
Then the next day after that argument, I’m riding the scooter, I go to put the kickstand down with my foot, and the whole thing falls off the scooter. The screws that were supposedly holding in the kickstand were completely stripped, along with the threading in the cheap, thin, sheet metal on the side. It was like a bad movie where you realize that maybe you’ve been ripped off.
I opened another claim with the warranty department which was met with immediate denial. They stated that an external force caused the kickstand to break off the scooter. I couldn’t believe it. Their manual didn’t teach me how to use a kickstand. Maybe I was supposed to put it down with my index and thumb fingers?
I’ve submitted a BBB complaint. I am in an active dispute through Affirm who financed the scooter.
BUYER BEWARE, THEIR QUALITY CONTROL IS ABYSMAL AS WELL AS THEIR CUSTOMER SUPPORT. THEY WILL BLAME YOU FOR ANY WARRANTY CASE YOU BRING TO THEM.
Nexts steps are complaints to California AG and legal action. I want my money back, and I want this scooter out of my garage. I HAVE STOPPED RIDING IT ENTIRELY.
BUYER BEWARE. DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
