First cat, adopted long term shelter cat peeing in spots I spend the most time in

Hi everyone I have an unfixed female(2ish) cat for 4-5 weeks now ( surgery was set for a late July surgery but got it moved to end of June).
She is an extremely skittish cat, she likes me and slow blinks and lets me rub her belly when I get to pet her, but she isn’t confident with people moving around near her and will hide unless it’s me and I move slowly.
Over the last few weeks she has peed on my bed right in my spot, after that I started having that door closed. Then last night when I was out she peed on the couch again right in the spot I sit.
She used her litter box fine, I’m wondering is this from heat(bed accident I thought she was out of heat, the couch she’s in heat screaming about rn). Is it an anxiety thing trying to claim me and have people had luck having a female stop peeing after they are fixed as I know it’s more of a male problem.

I have a feliway diffuser, she has her own big bedroom that I only really go into to feed and clean for her. She was at the vet a few weeks ago for the first round of shots and she was looked over by a vet even though it wasn’t specifically about this issue.

Any one have any advice to try for the 2 weeks til her surgery and for after.
