Actively being scammed right now — was tricked into removing GSL — assets unbonding — need Kraken security team urgently
Problem solved [I need urgent help reaching Kraken's security team. My account is being actively drained right now.
What happened:
I received an email from Kraken support saying my ID for account verification was expired and I needed to submit a new one. The ticket was real — I verified it myself on Kraken's support portal. Everything looked completely legitimate.
After I submitted my ID, a support agent called "Maeve" asked me to disable my Global Settings Lock (GSL) so they could update my name on the account to match my ID. They explained that the GSL blocks Kraken support from making profile changes, which is actually true according to Kraken's own documentation.
I asked them to clarify before doing anything. They gave a detailed, believable explanation — that my middle name was entered as my surname and needed correcting for KYC to complete. This is also a plausible real issue.
So I disabled the GSL because everything checked out.
The moment I disabled it, I received emails saying my Solana, TRON, Polkadot, Polygon and Cardano were being unbonded. When I panicked and asked what was happening, the agent "Bernard" said it was normal and part of the verification process. That's when I knew it was a .
What I've done so far:
- Submitted an emergency compromised account report via Kraken's official form
- Re-enabled GSL (but cannot change password or 2FA because GSL blocks that too)
- Got locked out when i reset password from too many login attempts]
