Help with right hand coordination & consistent picking
I'm an entirely self taught guitarist and have been playing for about a year now. Through practice, my fretting hand has consistently been getting better but I can't say the same about my picking hand. It feels like a wall, and no amount of practice on a slower BPM seems to be improving it. I keep accidentally picking too early, pick hits the adjacent string, etc.
What should I do?

Thoughts and critiques?
First time trying (tinted) charcoal pencils and the medium is great. How can I eliminate the 'scratchy' look without compromising on the darker values? Smudging it with a stump lifts off majority off the charcoal, leaving a much lighter value.
Would love to know how you guys tackle this.
