MSW program importance
hi all, seeking guidance as I begin my grad program search.
I’m graduating with my undergraduate in psychology and human development and family sciences from UCONN in december. i’m planning to begin my MSW program in the fall of next year (2027).
how important is where you get your MSW from in terms of job placement down the road? i’m looking for people to share their real experience with the hiring process and how they think their program affected that. for context, i think i would either want to go into the clinical field (LCSW route), or work in a school as a school social worker.
how much does school prestige/notoriety matter in the real world?
any advice/insight is appreciated!!
