So many "influencers" promote snake oil products and make wild claims about miracle cures or whatever. They're usually beauty related. They range from generally useless to straight up poisonous. We have stuff like anti-wrinkle straws, endless face masks and creams and teeth whitening toothpastes and strips, then you dive deeper and you get into the stuff like bone smashing and peptides and sunscreen deniers and anti-vaxxers. Some of this shit will actually kill you. Then you get into the plastic surgery procedures that are common in east Asia, especially China and Korea. People buying cheap unregulated products from overseas without vetting the safety or effectiveness is insanely risky and stupid.

I've heard putting things where the sun don't shine is pretty common, but what was the call that made you either go "how is this person still in the gene pool" or "you don't need a doctor, you need to repeat fourth grade". It can be either a patient freaking out about a non-issue or something stupid a patient was doing that led to an actual emergency
