My Shasta Snow conditions?

I will be on Mt Shasta, camping at horse camp this Friday-Sunday and doing a day trip to Helen lake on Saturday. The best info I found about snow conditions is from late July where Horsecamp is free of snow and Helen lake still has snow.
Does Anybody know of a website or direct knowledge of the current snow conditions of the route from Horse camp to Helen Lake?
Thanks

Tony Banks solo work

Am I missing something or do other Genesis fans think Tony's solo work sub-par compared to the things he wrote for Genesis? There are some specific music from his solo albums that I enjoy, but overall it is a little plain.
Anyway, just curious what other Genesis fans think.

Notice from Netgear, no longer supporting my router. 24 hours later my router stops working

I received an email from netgear stating I will no longer receive Support for my router. 24 hours later my router stops working, even though the email said my router will still continue to work. I have had an impossible time trying to get it restarted. I even reset it and in the middle of the setup it is not recognizing the cables that are connected to router.
I have given up but refuse to replace a perfectly working router.
Has anyone run into this same scenario?

Edit:
I have the following device: Netgear R6700 - Nighthawk AC1750 Smart WiFi Dual Band Gigabit Router (R7000-100NAS)

Has anyone used the Steri Pen when backpacking?

Friend gave me a Steri Pen 10 yrs ago and never felt comfortable compared to the drops. For the people who have used them, what are your thoughts?

Aquatabs directions a bit confusing.

I purchased these Aquatabs and the only direction that came with it was this card (image2).
There are 5 sections with 2 tablets in each section. A friend told me that one is for purification and the other is to remove the chemical taste. I have not seen anything about this.
It only says 1 tablet for 64 oz (when the water is clear). Is my friend wrong about the second tablet is used for removing the bad chemical taste and it's just another purification tablet.

I usually have only 1 liter containers. Is there any concern using 1 tablet for 1 liter, even when it is clear?

Also I'm a bit confused about what is defined as clear /cloudy water?
I usually get my water from rivers or streams that have a good rate of flow or from an alpine lake, avoiding ponds.
I assume these sources I have mentioned are considered clear?

Trail conditions? Desolation wilderness- Eagle Lake to Velma Lakes to Dicks Lake

I am wondering if anybody has recently done the hike from Eagle Lake to Velma Lakes and can tell me the trail conditions. Wondering if I need to bring microspikes? It's been a warm late winter - early Spring so I am hoping I. Can leave them at home. I'll be doing my second night at Dicks lake. If anybody has info on that as well, that would be awesome!
Thanks in advance.

Grand Canyon, mid-April

We lucked out with the weather on our backpacking trip from the north rim to Thunder River to Deer Creek. Didn't get over 85 down at floor of the canyon and only a little rain one night. 6 days was not nearly enough!
