My 4th of July is off to a dandy start, was out driving testing out things after significant ignition work, and wouldn’t ya know it, the fuel pump died. Of course, the part of the truck I didn’t touch was what let me down. Figures!

I’ve not been having good luck with mechanical pumps at all. Even my trusty (and now discontinued…) Carter M6626 pumps only lasted a few months each. They just don’t seem to make them like they used to…

So here’s my question. Those of you who daily drive their Squares (or any carb’d classic for that matter), what fuel pumps are you running? Electric or mechanical, in-tank, doesn’t matter, I just want to know what’s been working for y’all
