Friday afternoon was a bit hot but there were building clouds that provided some shade. Yesterday was noticably cooler and up above 10,000 feet my boots froze solid overnight. Today a nice breeze kept most of the bugs off me and the shady areas nice and cool. Doesn't get better than that.

Sequoia National Forest/National Park!

I want to add to the recent success stories I've seen on here. I'm about 9 months post op now and more often than not lately I feel like my knee is going to be completely fine. I've started backpacking again, nothing heroic 6-8 miles a day max. I hope anyone who is wanting to return to similar types of activities can find some optimism in this.

I'm embarrassed to admit it's taken me this long to bring a tenkara rod on my travels in the Sierra. I don't know much about fishing but I'm trying to learn quickly. This was my second successful trip this year. I've always admired trout especially for their beauty, we had a poster of the different species of trout in our living room growing up. I just ordered a little net to add to my kit, I wish I had gotten one from the start.
