The quote in the title is the standard excuse used by people professing to be “vegan” to justify personally funding the violent abuse and killing of innocent animals through the purchase of animal products to feed their animal. They profess to be “allies” of the innocent animals while betraying them in the worst way possible by funding their slaughter in order to feed their corpses to their preferred animals on basis of species and convenience.

Here is a message to them:

Want to be vegan? STOP personally funding the violent abuse and killing of innocent animals through the purchase of animal products.

You ask: what about the animals I already have?

Answer: re-home them with non-vegans looking for such animals or release them.
