Greece Itinerary for First Timers

This group has been extremely helpful in planning my mid-September trip to Greece for me and my husband. We are late 30’s / early 40’s not interested in partying, but love wandering streets and sitting on the beach. Would love any suggestions on the itinerary below. A couple of questions:

How far in advance do I need to book ferries?

Should I be worried about wind canceling ferries on the day of my flights?

For those who rented a car, can I walk in a rental place the morning of and drive out or do I need to book in advance?

Anything I might be missing / not considering?

Thank you!

Monday, September 14 – flight lands in Athens at 4pm. Catching a flight to Mykonos at 7pm. (This was originally a bit of a snafu- thought I was booking a flight to Naxos, but can’t change the flight so figured I’d make the most of it)

Tuesday, September 15 – Explore Mykonos, ferry to Naxos at 5pm

Wednesday, September 16 – Naxaki beach club

Thursday, September 17 – Explore Chora

Friday, September 18 – Macao beach club

Saturday, September 19 – Car day, explore mountain villages

Sunday, September 20 – Yazoo beach bar

Monday, September 21 – Day trip to Paros

Tuesday, September 22 – Khalula Beach Club

Wednesday, September 23 – Leave for Athens via ferry, arrive at 1:30. Explored Plaka

Thursday, September 24 – Acropolis museum in AM. Leave around 1:30 for 5:30pm flight.

Pattern for Donni pants

Hi everyone. Looking for a plus size pattern for something similar to these Donni pants. Also- is any and all taffeta silk going to look similar to the fabric in the photo or should I be looking for a specific quality/type? Thanks!

Late night travel options

Need some advice because I may have made a very dumb travel mistake 😅

I'm arriving in Athens on 9/14 at 4:00 PM and will be spending 10 days between Naxos and Paros. When I booked my connecting flight yesterday, I thought I had booked a flight to Naxos departing around 7:00 PM.

Turns out... it was actually a flight to Mykonos.

Apparently when you search Google Flights for Naxos, it sometimes shows Mykonos options too, and I somehow didn't notice when booking. Face palm.

I've been looking at alternatives to get to Naxos that same night, but I'm not finding much. It doesn't seem like there are any flights or ferries after about 7:00 PM that would get me there that evening. Does that sound right, or am I missing something?

At this point, it seems like my options are:

• Stay overnight in Athens and take a ferry to Naxos the next morning
• Keep the Mykonos flight, spend the night there, and take a ferry to Naxos in the morning
• Something else that I haven't thought of

What would you do?

The amount of transportation logistics on this trip is starting to make my head spin, so any advice from people familiar with the Greek islands would be greatly appreciated!

Looking for a dive bar I visited in 2010

I visited Portland, Maine around 2010 and went to a dive bar that I cannot for the life of me remember the name of. A few things I remember:

They specialized in different kinds of black and tans (multiple varieties on the menu)

The only food they served was popcorn

Anyone know what this place was called? It may have since closed. TIA!
