AD100pro II or V1 Mid for rim light?
To preface -- I'm aware that the AD100pro ii and the V1mid are pretty different flashes in terms of power & usage, but I want to use the AK-R1 accessory kit so I need a flash with the round head and the V1/V1pro/V100 are kinda out of budget right now. I'm doing this purely for hobby purposes only
As of now, I currently own an IT32 that I plan to use as a face/fill light and a trigger. I'm currently planning to get another flash that can work as a strong rim light in addition to my IT32, as well as act as a stronger face/fill light if needed. Currently I plan to use it 80% of the time as a rim light and 20% as a face light. For rim light I want to use the flash in conjunction with a pro mist filter to get a glowy strip of light on the edge of the face/hair (if that makes sense haha). I typically shoot indoors on location (no studio), and outdoors in shade/more overcast conditions, so I'm not fighting against direct sunlight. I plan to use the rim light mainly for headshots/half body shots, so I don't think (?) the flash needs to be placed that far away.
V1mid - Lower power, but can be a direct replacement to my IT32 for fill light, as well as to bounce off ceilings. Also around USD80 cheaper.
AD100pro ii - Higher power, but from what I've seen if I want to use it as a main face light I need to hold it in one hand which seems a bit cumbersome to me, but I may be wrong.
As an additional note, I'm not considering the mark 1 version of the AD100pro because its currently being sold for the same price as the mark 2.
Any help would be really useful as I'm still pretty new to using flash, much thanks!
