Studio flash / always on lights

I've been a pro photographer for 15 years, now, weddings mainly.

Nikon D700 to D810 and now a Z8, and always used my Nikon SB-900's but they really are past their prime, overheat easily etc.

I grabbed a V860III-N and a Godox X2T-N Wireless Flash Trigger about 12 months ago.

We're looking at my wife taking over as I also work part-time, and we're getting a lot of studio-style requests.

I've a lot of old Lencarta studio lights etc, but they are big, heavy and get very very hot, and I like the Godox gear I've got so far so looking to grab some more bits asap

Looking for some studio style flast lights that also has a good modelling/always on light as well. 1 year old cake smashes are harder waiting for flashes to recycle vs modelling lights.

Don't really have a budget in mind yet, but would like any feedback from those in the know. Requirements:

Useable in a studio space / church / outside location shoots / wedding receptions
Good variety of light modifiers
Easy to use and setup

Flash extension heads for locations; Yea or Nay?

So, I have a set of AD200 extension heads sitting in my cart & I’m having second thoughts. I think I know the pros and cons of them, but in practice- have they ever saved your flash? Markuspix on youtube mentioned that weighting down the base of your light stands has always worked for him, so is he an exception? Please let me know your experiences…

Slow recycle time godox ad400 pro ii

Random slow recycle time-

I’m hoping someone will have an idea or suggestion for me. I shoot with the godox ad400 pro ii and I’ve only had it for less than a year. Normally the recycle time is great and I can snap away without worry.

However lately, it will randomly slow way down and have an extremely slow recycle time close to 10 seconds. I’ve been scouring the internet trying to trouble shoot but haven’t come up with any answers.

For clarification some shoots it will be perfect the whole time and other shoots it will start off fine and then suddenly slow down and I’m forced to continue the shoot at a recycle time of 10 seconds.

This last time it was set at 1/8 if that matters

Help?

iT32 Recos for Softbox and Macro Diffuser

Recently got an iT32 for my Fujifilm X-T5, and I'm really enjoying it. Can anyone recommend a good softbox that works with it? I'm also looking for a macro diffuser for this combo. My macro lens is the TTArtisans 40mm 2.8, but I'm contemplating upgrading to a Laowa 65mm.

Anyone find the AD200Pro II modelling light useful?

When the AD200ProII came out every youtube video mentioned the new, better modeling lights, but I’ve never seen a video of any photographer using them, hence my question, especially on the bare bulb head; is there specific situations where they’re handy to use, or are they just a big head?

Godox AD400 Pro ii or AD600 Pro ii in outdoor lighting?

Greetings,

I usually do events with a mix of indoor places and outdoors in the middle of the field, in a more hobbyist manner.

The ad400&ad600 should do just fine indoors, but Is the ad400proii capable of overpowering the sun?

I've also heard that the ad400 is definitely more portable and easier to setup than the AD600.

Just wondering if the ad600 pro ii is more of a "once-in-a-while" equipment to bring out. I think the ad400 pro ii comes native with bowens mount

Flash recommendation: it32 vs. Lux Junior II (Mirrorless-Lumix & Analogue Film Cameras)

Hi!

I'm looking for a run and gun little mini flash. I was really attracted to the Lux Junior II which is currently on presale, as it seemed to have all the features I am looking for. The IT32 is also very appealing, as it seems like a complete flash but much more compact.

I liked the idea of buying the im30 etc. but felt I wanted a little more functionality, and since I use a lot of very wide angle lenses, I was worried it might create that lens shadow (too low on the camera body).

I recently bought Panasonic Lumix S5 so would be looking to mount it on there, as well as my many various film cameras (Nikon F / Rollei 35 / etc). Are godox flashes compatible with film cameras?

I would appreciate anyone's thoughts and opinions on the matter!

Hello!
I'm kinda new in the flash world and at the moment my setup is:
Ad 200 Pro II
S3 bowen mount
90cm Softbox

Is there a way I can use gels there? I know I should use the bulb head in the softbox so.. is there a way to place a gel there?

Any plan for a V350 II?

My question is more directed at Godox people who monitor this sub. The V350 is my first speedlite, and having used pretty much everything Godox has ever released, I can confidently say that it is going to be my last.

I always use my V350 handheld with the X3 trigger. It hits a sweet spot of size and power that I can't find with any other Godox speedlite. V1? Too big. Round head is useful, but then I might as well bring my AD100. V480? Almost there, but still a little too big. IT32? Too weak, and non-removable battery makes it a non-starter for professional work.

V350? Perfect. Almost. It is one of the older Godox flashes now and some features are lacking or outdated, such as cross-platform TTL compatibility with different triggers. The touchscreen and the new USB-C VB22 battery would be great too, though I can live without them.

If you are reading this, Godox please consider making the V350 II. You keep throwing spaghetti at the wall but somehow always miss the V350 spot. I've tried them all and am still waiting for a refreshed V350.

What flash attachment would work best for an Olympustrip35 for indoor photography?

Looking to shoot portrait(esc) photos inside with dimmer lighting like coffee shop vibes. What affordable flash option would do this for me and also be compatible with this camera?

Update: I got the im20 mini and unpacking it my automatic thoughts are that it might be too small/minimal. Any thoughts??
