EDIT: Before anyone asks, no, the flash shown in the image isn't included...it's there to show how beautifully and simply the filters attach!
Hi guys. What does this icon means Flash with yellow dot which is blinking? It happens when I plugin Godox. 100 to Sony A7V. Looks like some error for me.
Thanks
I recently bought a Godox iT20 flash. On my Nikon Z6 it works fine. On my Zf it does fire the flash but it does not seem to synchronize with the exposure. The frame does not capture the flash.
I use for example manual mode, 1/80s, f/8, iso 400, TTL +0, hardware shutter.
Any suggestions on how to solve or diagnose?
I have this flash and used it on my street camera m50 I wanted to use it on my R5ii last evening heard an event I’d be covering.
However, for the life of me, I couldn’t get it to sync properly with electronic shutter. Just wanted to confirm that this is only compatible at high speed sync with mechanical shutter? or am I being a dummy?
I’m hoping someone has run into this before because I’m completely stumped.
I’m building a DSLR photo booth using a Canon EOS R50 with a Godox V1-C flash.
The problem is that the R50 requires the Canon AD-E1 hot shoe adapter. That part works fine. However, I also need to mount my Godox X3-C on top of the AD-E1, and the combined height is too tall to fit inside my photo booth enclosure.
So right now I have two problems:
The camera requires the AD-E1 adapter.
The AD-E1 + Godox trigger stack is physically too tall for the booth.
I’m trying to figure out if there’s another way to trigger the V1-C without adding so much height.
Should I just take the loss and sell the canon r50 and purchase an r100?
Godox has just released the C100 in China — their first product that can technically be called a “camera.”
But based on the paper specs, I think it is better understood as a compact light meter / framing tool with basic camera functions added, rather than a normal point-and-shoot digital camera.
The C100 has a 2MP camera, an equivalent 24mm field of view, and a transparent viewfinder-style display. It can show framing guides and basic information, while also reading the brightness in the central area to calculate exposure value. That part makes it more interesting for film camera users, especially as a small pocket light-meter-style accessory.
Some paper specs and features:
To be clear, I have not received the unit yet, so this is not a hands-on review. This is only my early summary based on the specs currently available.
My current impression is: don’t buy it expecting a serious digital camera. The 2MP resolution already tells you what kind of product this is. It seems more like a fun experimental camera, a transparent-viewfinder gadget, and possibly a useful light-meter-style tool for film shooters.
One important downside: the shooting sound cannot be turned off when taking photos. So for anyone who needs silent shooting, this may be a dealbreaker, or at least something to consider carefully before buying.
Feel free to leave any questions you want me to test. Once I receive the C100, I’ll try to check the real image quality, metering accuracy, usability with film cameras, file transfer workflow, battery life, and whether it feels more like a toy, a camera, or a useful accessory.
Help! I bought a few Godox lights for my studio and one of them, the Litemons LA150R, keeps disconnecting from the Godox app via Bluetooth. I connect it and then it grays out after awhile.
I'm trying to save presets in the app for different scenes with three Godox lights so that I don't have to manually change lights for each scene.
I've updated the firmware to v1.11 via USB. The app won't let me update to v1.12 because it says, "Bluetooth firmware version is too low, please upgrade the Bluetooth first."
Is the issue that bluetooth needs updating but there is no way ot do that?
Hey everybody i have a sony alpha7rv and a godox speedlite v860III and i would like to make pictures with flash but that the flash is not mounted on the camera but rather lose or even just handheld and that i can take pictures with the flash from the side or a different angle. So my question is what cable do i need to buy that i can have a free flash that i can put where i want it or is there a better method than a cable. I am new to flashs and i appreaciate every answer.
Hello, I bought a Godox XR to make my old Canon 580EX to work with my Fujifilm body. I have a Godox V1F as a master flash. According to the XR manual it can work with the 580EX without any limitation but though it can remotely trigger the Canon flash on Manual mode in any fractional power, in TTL mode however, the Canon flash/XR always fires at full power. The XR already has the latest posted firmware (V1.04). Am I missing something?
As I said, I just got a v100C as a replacement for my old flash that gave up the ghost mysteriously. I use these flashes extremely infrequently and have, therefore, fallen out of practice.
I would like to have a readable guide, including a breakdown of using new features I may not have had available in my....what?....15 year old flash unit. Every damned 'in depth' guide I can find is on youtube, tiktok, etc and requires me to either blast out audio or ignore my family while learning. Just checking in here to see if anyone has done a non-video guide that I might find helpful.
I am using the it32 on my Sony a7r6 with 100mm macro lens. I am getting some strange results when I am taking images outside in decent sunlight with ttl mode.
When flash is straight photos are underexposed, sometimes to the point where it does not even look like I am using a flash. When I angle the flash up to 30 or 45 degree the photos are significantly overexposed.
I am using a bigger diffuser and I understand that the angle changes how the light hits the subject, but why is the ttl not adjusting the flash exposure correctly.
When I am inside with more controlled lighting I see similar behavior, but the amount of under or over exposure is way less.
Anyone else wish Godox would release a 100ws+ V860 form factor speedlite? I'd even take a slghtly bigger hotshoe mounted flash if I could put a 200ws flash on my camera! I used to use an AD360 in the hotshot for rapid fire shots, but something with an integrated battery would be super ideal!
Is the CB-12 the correct bag for the AD800 Pro?
I have been looking for days, and finally decided to just pull the trigger. I ordered the CB-12 and the AD800 Pro without knowing if the light will fit the bag. It appears Godox feels dimensions are unnecessary information. The only place I could find listing dimensions is B&H. They say the AD800 Pro is similar in size to the AD600 Pro II. None of the videos I watched compared the two physically.
So here we are. If no one can answer this question, I will have the answer tomorrow once the light arrives. This post will serve as the definitive answer.
[Update]
The light must be completely disassembled before it will fit the bag. This could be a problem if the bulb is hot from use (See photos below). I will be looking for another bag that will allow me to travel without disassembling the light. I’ll post another update when I find a solution.
Bought a brand new GODOX AD200 ProII on Amazon and used it on a single photo shoot and today during prep it just does not turn on at all.
I only have a single battery so I tried having it out for long periods of time and then attempting to re-install the battery and turn it on to no avail.
I have tried connecting a usb-c cable to it’s port on the body of the device and the LCD screen shows “UPDATE” with an Upward Arrow.
Help??
Hello all, I have the original Sony a7s that I've been shooting with for about a decade now. I mainly used it for video freelance work and then for street/travel photography.
Does anyone know if the Godox X3 Pro trigger work with the a7s?
I've been editing for a photographer who mainly uses profoto strobes on canon gear and it gave me the itch to do more flash photography and to work on posing subjects. I plan to start with a simple setup with a Godox AD100pro off camera, using a diffusion dome.
I'm just not sure the trigger I'm looking at will work since my camera body is so old at this point.
Also open to suggestions, ideally would like to use a godox trigger so that the signals play nicely.
So I bought the Godox IT32 with the X5f and been playing with it but I’ve so far had no luck removing the X5 f. It says rotate clockwise to unlock it which I did but it isn’t removable from the camera. What am I doing wrong ?
I want to buy godox it30 pro for my zv e10, but I have smallrig cage on. Will it fit with the cage on?
